I have kind of used Marion's watercolour technique with Distress Inks from this Topical Tuesday but I didn't actually colour an image, rather I simply coloured the whole piece of cardstock :)
I also borrowed the colour scheme from this gorgeous card by Christina MacLaren! Her card is stunning!!

How to play along!
It has been hard for me to find time to craft lately, and though I start out with good intention each day I can never seem to fit it in! Like so many, I'm sure, it is my down time where I stop thinking about everything else and just enjoy some time out :)
I actually coloured this flower image from our Squared Posies set last weekend but then never worked it in to a project..
I stamped my image with Versafine ink on watercolour paper and gave it a minute to dry before I started to colour. I used Derwent Inktense pencils for this one and wanted to try and give it almost a painted image look so went for lots of layers of colours! The beauty with these pencils is that if you allow them to dry in between layers you can go back and work in more colours without disturbing the first colour...love this feature!
The coordinating cardstock was also made from these pencils by drawing simple lines and a broad brush.
Just wanted to show the colour with this shot :)
So does it look a little like a painting? Not sure, but I do know that I had fun coming back each time and adding just a little more colour and shading :)

Happy Friday! The new challenge is up and running at AnnaBelle Stamps Blog and you will not believe the projects the Belles have created, they will blow you away! My card is no where as creative lol!
Lil Monster has been coloured with Coloursoft Pencils and blended with Zest-It. To make the twine grass I took a strip of cardstock and laid down some double sided tape and worked my way across with the twine. I wish now I'd used green cardstock though :)
What can you create with twine?? There are so many amazing colours now available in store so be sure to check them out!

My card today should brighten your day if you're feeling just a little low :) Usually in photos the colour doesn't show as vividly as it is IRL, but i think I captured it today lol!
Thanks to Patti for her wonderful Topical Tuesday tutorial at Stamp Embellish Create because I hadn't masked for ages and really it can make all the difference! A simple mask like this is pretty quick as well!
I have to point out the background stamp as well, because I stamped this last night with just my lamp on and I managed to line them all up perfectly! Easy as pie!!
My images from the set Mum's Flowers were stamped with Versafine on watercolour paper and coloured with Inktense pencils. I have these pencils in the shop for pre-order only as they are an expensive item to hold stock of :) I used a couple of new items to watercolour them as well instead of a brush. The first is the Dove Blender pen which I now stock and I also tried the Tsukineko fantastix. Both have a firmer feel than a brush and for me a little more control purely because I'm not an artist and am use to using markers etc. I'll give them a bit more of a go and let you know about where and tear :)

Another rainy day and we're loving it!! A couple of weeks ago Sue W shared a Faux Silk tutorial on Stamp Embellish Create and I've been trying to fit in some time to play along, and that time just happen to be yesterday!
I don't have a large Xyron machine so I used some vellum spray adhesive. In my first attempt I forgot to do the scrunching before I did the spraying so it does always pay to re-read the instruction lol!
I've also used the current sketch on the AnnaBelle Blog but this time I remembered the bling!! I hadn't used the spray adhesive before this (and my first attempt) but I think I needed just a little more. I would probably also move out of my little office to spray!

I also had some time to colour over the weekend (just not enough time to make them in to cards!) and what I've done here is use Prismacolors for the one on the left and Derwernt Coloursoft for the right image. I've used a relatively cheap drawing cardstock, one uses mineral Spirits to blend (I think the Prisma one) and the other I used Zest-It a beautiful smelling citris oil based alternative! Just thought I'd share the results :)

I've had a week of not a lot of crafting, rather I've been working on new sets, and I get to a point where I just need to stamp but can't find the time! I did these three cards a few eeks ago now, and I thought doing a post and sharing them would be a good way to take a break :)
I used my Distress Inks and direct to paper techniques and whipped these cards up in a very short time! I remember having lots of fun this one afternoon :)

Hello blogging friends! I hope those of you in Australia had a wonderful Australia Day yesterday and enjoyed the celebrations!! It was a typical warm day here and perfect for a BBQ!
I love a sketch to follow (which I think I've mentioned a number of times before!), it just makes the planning a little easier, especially when I'm still in my pj's as I made my card and typed this! Nothing like taking things in a relaxed manner :)
For my card today I used our new Garden Silhouettes (because silhouettes make for a quick card!) and Distress Inks.
The base card has been swiped with Antique Linen - just around the edge. The centre panel uses one of the flower images which I inked with Antique Linen first then sponged on the Ripe Persimmon before stamping across my card three times. I added some of the grass across the bottom and wrapped our new .8mm Natural Twine around the top, then adhered this piece with dimensional foam.
The Pearls are 3mm Cream and the oval a Spellbinders die. The centre has been distressed with Ripe Persimmon and the sentiment stamped with Gathered Twigs.

More fun colours today! I must have had them on my mind yesterday lol!
I watercoloured my background piece of card using Inktense pencils (bright isn't it!) and kept the stamped images a little more subdued using Distress Inks - Scattered Straw and Shabby Shutters.
The three Sprinkles are Lemon, Turquoise and Lime. The Lemon is new and will be in store very soon :)

Happy Tuesday :) It's warming up in Victoria this week but it's not going to hit 40 so I think that's a plus! I've just come in hot and sticky from watering and decided to finish tonight in the cool of the evening.
Simple, quick and easy to do! Using one of the script background stamps from BBD6 I stamped down a piece of Pebble cardstock using Versafine ink. Cut a piece of vellum to size allowing enough to fold under the centre card and stamped a sentiment from Fanciful Flowers and gave it plenty of time to dry! The centre panel has been raised with dimensional foam and two 4mm Licorice Sprinkles adhered to the top right corner.

I thought seeing the new sets are out I'd share a couple of cards today. The first is using the new set Garden Silhouettes and the second is for a 21st we are going to tonight....a boy's 21st! I knew it was going to be hard to come up with something, but this goes beyond that...I struggled!!
I did a group of these cards a couple of weeks ago, but I won't bore you with them all today lol! I used three Distress inks and swiped them - direct to paper - across, up and down the cardstock and then overstamped with the silhouette.
It was Sue K's card HERE that gave me my card today! But mine turned out very boring looking, and if I had more time I'd go again, but I just don't!! It needs something! I became very frustrated with my cutter (even after I'd put in a new cutting mat) because I had to keep trying to make my squares square! Is it just me or do others have trouble with this?? Anyway by the end of it I think I'd had enough lol!

I had a lovely day today colouring inbetween doing some work lol! I saw the sketch on Card Patterns and put it aside on my desktop just in case I found a little time, and I did today :)
This is another sneak peek of part of an image due for release this Saturday! I'm excited about this one because it's one of my favourite characters :)
The sunflower has been coloured with Copics and cut out. My back panel has been distressed, splattered with some water and wrapped with our brand new twine! This twine is a fine 10lb weight and will be available very soon! We have every colour you could ever need!! The sentiment is also new and belongs to another set we'll unveil this weekend!
Here's the sketch I followed...I just hope I didn't have to use buttons lol!!

I don't get the chance to stamp on a Sunday very often, but today has been wet (fantastic!) and most of my inside jobs are up to date (well almost!).
I wanted to share another sneak peek of the new silhouettes set being released next Saturday, so kept it very simple :)
I've stamped the main image with Distress Inks then added one of the sentiments before mounting it on dimensional foam, then co-ordinating yellow card then finally the Smooth White card base.

Well it's not been a good start to the new year for me with the one thing I wanted to achieve this year being 'organised'! I will have the Kusudama tutorial up very soon...I did go to edit the video the other day but found that I'd zoomed in too much and all you could see was the back of my very dotty hand lol!
This week the Belles and I are sharing some sneak peeks of our new sets due for release on the 14th! We have five new sets coming and we are very excited about showing them to you :) We also have two brand new Belles joining the regular team! Welcome Therese and Jess!!
Black, White & Silver is actually very easy to work with because it looks so crisp and clean I think. My card today uses the sketch from Card Patterns :
The gingham pattern down the side is one image from a new BBD (Backgrounds By Design) set and the flower and sentiment from a new silhouettes set. Both of these are large 6" x 8" sets.

Welcome to our last challenge for the year!! Today we are working with a sketch and it wasn't an easy one for a teenage card, well I didn't think so lol!
It's Adam's 16th birthday today and one of his favourite pastimes is his XBox followed closely by Facebook chatter...sound familiar?? I think this is pretty standard for a lot of teenagers lol! I have a group of images created by Jasmine that I just haven't put in to a set yet, but one was exactly what I needed for his card!
Boyish enough? Why do I find male/boy cards so difficult lol!
