I sat down today with absolutely no idea what I wanted to do or create, so I started with the cardstock, cut some circles and then picked my stamps :) It felt totally back to front to me lol!
My image is lightly coloured with Copics and the top panel is raised with dimensional foam.

It's been raining on and off all day today which is wonderful for the garden, and the tanks!, and perfect weather to start my Christmas shopping! I didn't get a lot done but it made me feel a little more organised lol!
I have another CAS card to share today and yes it's Christmas! I've used the sketch from CAS-ual Fridays :
The baubles are from the Ornamental Christmas set and I've stamped them using Distress Inks on to Linen cardstock.
Don't the Sprinkles sparkle and shine! I love the 3mm size!

I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday! The sun has been shining here, with the birds happily chirping and ducks just wandering around everywhere...it must be Spring! (Well nearly!).
I had to drag myself in to finish my card for a party Nathan is going to tomorrow afternoon.
I kept it very clean for my Simply Saturday post, and now that I'm looking at the photo the panel looks as though it's seperate when in fact I maked that section off, sponged and then stamped our numbers background. Lil Monster was coloured with Copics then cut out and adhered with dimensional foam. The 'Birthday Wishes' is also from the BBD Numbers background set, and of course some Sprinkles to finish! These are 3mm Chilli.
Seeing I had the Mask-It out I also stamped this one using another background stamp from BBD1 and some bright fun colours!

Hello! It's Saturday afternoon which gives me a teeny bit of time to do some stamping :) I kept my cards very simple today using a set I have barely had a chance to play with - BBD4, but after seeing a card from Lisa HERE and one from Iwona HERE, I just had to get it out!
Mine aren't as detailed as theirs, and I've simply used the plain block and stamped the different images inside. I've used a collection of Versacolor cubes that I received as part of a subscription years and years ago, and they still work a treat! Thanks for visiting today...I'm off to have some fun colouring :)

Hello friends :) I had a big day played with lots of creating in mind and I only managed one card lol!
Yesterday I needed to reach for my stash for a male birthday card and I had none!! Well I did have a Rockin' Instrumental one that said "You Rock" but as the card was for our wonderful parish priest I didn't think it appropriate lol! So this coming week I've decided to create a few to have in back up!
Todays card, even though it should've been masculine, isn't. I wanted to have a play with another new set - Daisy Delight Silhouette. This single stamp co-ordinates with Daisy Delight and I was going to add a flower from that and pop it on the front of my card, but in sticking to my Saturday theme of CAS I decided not too :)
I stamped the image with Memento Bamboo Leaves on to Smooth White card stock and cut around it leaving just a bit of white showing. I then added some shading around the flowers using pencils and Gamsol to blend (It stand out more IRL).
The base card is simply Smooth White that has been distressed with Fired Brick Distress Ink with the edges done in Frayed Burlap. I splattered some water over the sponging and waited for it to dry before stamping the dotty background from BBD5 (you can just make it out in the photo).

This card shares another Sneak Peek of one of our new release stamp sets! The back panel has been sponged with Scattered Straw and I've then stamped a new Background By Designs image with Brushed Corduroy. My main image is from our Easter Hope set. I stamped with Brushed Corduroy then using a watercolour pencil I dipped it directly in water and coloured the sun. The other colour was applied by sponging with Brushed Corduroy and Scattered Straw.

Hi all :) What a fabulous day it is today! The sun is shining and everything looks so fresh after rain during the week!
Whilst I was ironing this morning I was thinking about the card I would make this afternoon (it gets me through the pile!). I decided once again to go with a one layer card, but I wanted to try and make it look more than one layer, but still keeping the CAS look. So here is the sketch I came up with :

I've started another card that I intend to sponge both top and bottom of the ribbon but change the colours to try and get the two layer look rather than in this one where I've kept the top white...I thought I had better get my post finished though then come back to the second card :)
I've used one of the border stamps from BBD1 and sponged with Worn Lipstick. The sentiment is from the All Things Grow set, and I liked the fine look to the font for this delicate looking card :) The Sprinkles are 3mm Cocoa and the ribbon 16mm DF satin Tuftan.

What a great week it has been so far! I have known for a little while that our lovely Iwona had a card published in the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine, but I didn't know until this week when it came on sale that her card, starring our very own Lil Bee, made the front cover!!! How amazing is that! Congratulations to Iwona! So to celebrate I think it would be a great idea to have this little guy as blog candy. I have full details and the link below for you to play along, but I'd better get on with todays card :)
You could say that I have made it very CAS today! For my card I kept it to a one layer card, but feel free to add a centre layer if you like...it's all about how you interpret the sketch :)
I couldn't not use Lil Bee today now could I! Can you tell how excited I am that one of our stamps is on the front cover of a magazine!
I have watercoloured him, so the cardstock is smooth watercolour paper and is a nice sturdy 300gsm. I used a copic fineliner to create my border and added some Heart Chilli Sprinkles to the corners.

Hi all! Are you ready to get your fingers inky once again! Today I've taken a piece of smooth white card and embossed, sponged and stamped :)

As I may have mentioned before, I love blue and green, so the first two colours I reached for were Shabby Shutters and Broken China.
On Smooth White cardstock I stamped the larger grass from the All Things Grow set with Versamark and added AnnaBelle Clear Gloss EP then heat set. I then sponged my two favourite colours on and stamped the same stamp with Brushed Corduroy then the smaller reeds with Forest Moss. To give just a little more shading I added some Forest Moss to the bottom and Faded Jeans to the sky.
I split our Twisted Paper Cord in two and wrapped it around then added a bow to my little tag.

Hello friends to another Simply Saturday Sketch :) I decided that it would be great to create a one layer card today, so the sketch below is where your image is to be placed rather than a layer!
And here is my card :
AnnaBelle Supplies : Stamps - Stemmed Flowers, Sentimental Bluebells; Sprinkles; Natural Twine; Distress Inks.
Other Supplies : Watercolour Cardstock.
I started by stamping my main image on to watercolour cardstock, then added in the sentiment and a touch of watercolour to the base of the flowers. I have then sponged with Scattered Straw before embossing. Once it had been embossed I sponged lightly with Frayed Burlap to make the texture really pop, and the edges with Walnut Stain. I did learn something today, that may have been in the back of my mind but had forgotten, and that is to allow just a little more in the length of the card because once you emboss it, it comes out just a wee bit smaller lol! Some natural twine at the top and 6mm Lilac Sprinkles to the centres of my flowers, and this turned out to be a very quick CAS card today :)

Hi!! Welcome to my Simply Saturday Sketch! Today I like to create an easy sketch to follow, and you are more than welcome to join in! Here's this weeks sketch :

For the background I've used the new BBD3 set. After stamping the dotty diamond design I set about by adding the small image in between. At first I used a very small acrylic block that fitted it perfectly but I was seeing the shadow of the blog so I swapped it over to a larger 1 1/2" block and it made much easier to see where I as stamping! Of course stamping this at night possibly didn't help to the shadow lol!
My next layer also uses a border/background stamp from the same set, and I simply cut along the edge of the design to form the zig-zag.
When it came to adding colour on the next layer I used one of my acrylic blocks, inked it up with some colour and gave it a quick spritz of water before stamping on to my card, and because it was a rectangle it made it very easy to cut out :) I stamped over this with some grass stamps from the All Things Grow set.
I didn't have a round block to do the same for the circle sentiment so I've have simply sponged the colour on in a dabbing motion rather than rubbing.

Welcome to my Saturday challenge - to create something simply! I love my weekends for this, but I love spending time with my family as well.
Today I thought I would go with a sketch :
After getting myself all inky the other day I decided to do the same and this time I created a video as well to go with it :) I think I've been using a lot of orange and olive greens just lately so I went completely different with my colours..
AnnaBelle Supplies : Stamp - All Things Grow, BBD1; Sprinkles - 3mm Chilli; Cardstock - Smooth White; Ink - Wild Honey, Fired Brick, Broken China and Walnut Stain Distress Inks.
Other Supplies : Spellbinders.
I started by sponging/distressing my base card piece that measures 11cm x 11cm with Broken China. You'll see in the video that I hadn't cleaned my sponge properly so green shows up initially, but I carried on and the final result doesn't show my mistake up too much lol! This cards finished size is 12cm x 12cm and fits perfectly in to our new envelopes that are 13cm x 13cm. I used the same border stamp from BBD1 for the polka dots and edged in Walnut Stain. After using Worn Lipstick on my scalloped edge I decided that it really needed the Fired Brick, so you don't see in the video that I simply went around again with the darker colour :)

Todays cards had to be super quick again because I love to stamp, but today I have lots of other not so nice work to do, and I'm happy as long as I've managed to do some!
For my cards I've done nothing new lol! but simply used two different sponges to 'stamp' on some colours, then stamped my sentiment (from the Hold a Candle set) over the top.

Happy Saturday everyone, and I hope you are able to squeeze in some stamping this afternoon! We have visitors so I had to have my card in mind before I sat down to play, so it is a very quick card!
I pulled out my Derwent watercolour pencils after reading about their Inktense pencils which now seem to be on my list of one day items lol!
I simply chose three colours and drew randomly across my watercolour cardstock, gave it a quick spritz with water and used one of Nathan's flat brushes dipped in water to smooth the colour. Took a couple of stamps from the All Things Grow set and stamped over the top with Brilliance ink once it had dried, and attached three 3mm Lagoon Sprinkles.
So quick and easy, and I love the thickness of this cardstock, it's perfect for making cards. It would be wonderful if you'd like to share a CAS watercolour creation this week!
