You can use punches to round off corners and end pieces of cardstock very easily. In the photo below I've used a mega scallop punch and cut my cardstock to 4.5cm strips (adjust the width of your cardstock to match the punch you have). Slipping the cardstock between the cutters I've centred the scallops and puched the card, and repeated twice more.
A scallop punch is also great for decorating the corners - check them out in this card - and round or oval punches can round the ends for tags.
