Say It In...Black, White & Silver

Well it's not been a good start to the new year for me with the one thing I wanted to achieve this year being 'organised'!  I will have the Kusudama tutorial up very soon...I did go to edit the video the other day but found that I'd zoomed in too much and all you could see was the back of my very dotty hand lol!  

This week the Belles and I are sharing some sneak peeks of our new sets due for release on the 14th!  We have five new sets coming and we are very excited about showing them to you :)  We also have two brand new Belles joining the regular team!  Welcome Therese and Jess!!

Black, White & Silver is actually very easy to work with because it looks so crisp and clean I think.  My card today uses the sketch from Card Patterns :

The gingham pattern down the side is one image from a new BBD (Backgrounds By Design) set and the flower and sentiment from a new silhouettes set.  Both of these are large 6" x 8" sets.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #23

Hello everyone :)  We have a brand new challenge this week from the Lollipop Ladies, and 'Yum' who doesn't love these :

This weeks theme is 'Licking the beaters' with the added theme of metal!  Who still gets to lick the beaters in their home??  I certainly don't, not with 3, sorry 4 boys/men in the house!
Adding metal this week was a little hard for me and I really had to think, but then I simply had to give up because I didn't have anything.....then I looked at my card and thought that perhaps we could count the Metallics Sprinkles!!!  Yay!

For my card today I distressed my main panel with Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick before stamping with an image from BBD2.

My Yummy cupcake from 'Take the Cake' has been coloured with Copics then cut and sponged holding my Spellbinders die in place.  And I'd better not forget my metal element to this weeks challenge Cocoa Metallics Sprinkles :)

I've used this sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketches my card, which helped make it come together very quickly.  Poor Sammi must be sick of me sending my card through late!!

Simply Saturday - SS9

Hi all :)  What a fabulous day it is today!   The sun is shining and everything looks so fresh after rain during the week!

Whilst I was ironing this morning I was thinking about the card I would make this afternoon (it gets me through the pile!).  I decided once again to go with a one layer card, but I wanted to try and make it look more than one layer, but still keeping the CAS look.  So here is the sketch I came up with :

I've started another card that I intend to sponge both top and bottom of the ribbon but change the colours to try and get the two layer look rather than in this one where I've kept the top white...I thought I had better get my post finished though then come back to the second card :)

I've used one of the border stamps from BBD1 and sponged with Worn Lipstick.  The sentiment is from the All Things Grow set, and I liked the fine look to the font for this delicate looking card :)  The Sprinkles are 3mm Cocoa and the ribbon 16mm DF satin Tuftan.

Say It In...

...Blue and Brown!  Welcome to another Friday challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps blog :)  I love the colours chosen for todays challenge, they always seem to work well together!

 I went for a very simple card today, so I reached for one of our silhouette stamp sets - Floral Silhouettes - and did a quick colour over the stamp with water based markers from SU!  The image has been stamped on XPress-It Blending cardstock and I've used a Copic to colour the dirt.

I didn't have a button to really co-ordinate with the Bazzill card I had chosen so once again I've air-brushed some Copic colour on to match.  The background to the flowers has also been air-brushed.

The ribbon is DF 16mm Satin Brown, and the Sprinkles are Metallic Cocoa in 3mm.

 Here we are again with another sketch from the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog!  A very simple design this week, and I'm all for simple today!

I had some Kraft cardstock already out to do another project, and I love using Kraft so that coupled with just a couple of pieces of scrap card - once again from the top of my desk - I came up with this card..

  I used the new AnnaBelle Bark EP to emboss the flower and sentiment from the set Floral Silhouettes, and Brilliance Moonlight White to stamp the flower border.  Added some 16mm double faced White Satin across the centre, 6mm Metallic Cocoa Pearls (from the petals kit) and it was made it record time!

The prize up for grabs this week is a pack of 10 A4 sheets of clear acetate, 1mtr 16mm Tuftan Satin Ribbon, and 1mtr 9mm Tan/Tuftan Satin Swiss Dots, so be sure to add your link to the blog.

Say It With...

...an Easel Card!  I love these because they don't take too long, you don't have to do too much to them for them to look great, and they are easy!

Today I thought I would use the new Rockin' Instrumental!  Now don't go looking for this set in the shop just yet, because it will be available on the 28th June along with the other releases this month :) with a special offer!

I've used the guitar today and stamped it on to a textured black cardstock using Versamark, and sprinkled with AnnaBelle Silver embossing powder.  The EP's will also be available from the 28th, and these beautiful embossing powders are from the UK!

It's a little hard to tell, but I've raised the words 'You Rock' at the back - or top end - of them, and the bottom flat on to the embossed white cardstock.  The Sprinkles today are Metallic Silver in 5mm.

Simply Saturday - SS190610

Simply Backed 

Todays one layer card (well except for the ribbon) was very quick to create.  I used plain white cardstock and cut it to 14cm x 28cm.  Using the Classic Sqaure Spellbinders I embossed the inner square, and held the die in place while I sponged on some soft pink.

I wanted to stamp a background and found that this one from the Flourishes set  fitted in perfectly!

I then stamped the cake from Helen's Party, coloured with Copics, cut it out and then added it with some dimensional foam.

Tied off some beautiful Brown Double Faced Satin Ribbon and added 3mm Metallic Sprinkles.

ABSC018 - Prize week

  Hi and thanks for visiting today for the AnnaBelle's Bling Sketch Challenge!  This weeks sketch was designed by DT member Jerusha, and it's a very pretty one.  I did however have one thing in mind for this sketch, and came out with another, so I definitely have to try again!

The winner from the last Bling Sketch has been announced, so pop over and check out the blog for details and all the other DT cards.

I wanted to go with soft pastel colours for this sketch - which is why I need to try again - but ended up with this lol!  I used the set Flowers With Love (which just happens to be the prize for this fortnight), stamped the images keeping the Spellbinders die in place, and coloured them with Copics.  I am trying out some new cardstock I have just ordered in specifically for the Copics and I'm happy to say we'll be stocking it....and Copics!  We will be starting off with the Copic Ciao's and expanding from there....and I am so very excited!! 

The ribbon (also new very soon) has been stamped with white pigment ink using a flower from the same set.

The flowers have 6mm Cocoa drops in the centres and 4mm Cocoa drops down the side of the card.  The edges of all the DP has been sponged lightly with Palette Burnt Umber.

Tree of Swirls

Hello this very fine Wednesday!  I love the in between seasons weather, just as it's starting to change, it's perfect! 

My card today uses the sketch from PCP for this week, and the set is Swirl Tree.  The tree image has been stamped with Palette Burnt Umber and coloured with Copics.  I didn't do any shading but I did go over a couple of spots with the same colour again just to make it a little darker. 

It didn't really take that long to pull together, it was just finding the right embellishment for the side.  Do you like what I've done?  These are punches I have had for many years and they live in a shoe box on my floor.  I've sponged them just lightly on the outer edge and added White Pearls and Cocoa Metallics to the centre.

The sentiment is from the same set, and I've gone over it with the lightest of my Copic greens and added a 4mm Cocoa Metallic to the side.

The ribbon is double faced satin, and the bow was made with the Bow Easy.

Presents in a line

I loved the AnnaBelle's Bling Sketch Challenge for this week designed by Teresa, but I was wandering how I was going to do the scallops.  I often see the beautiful punches that are available, but I just haven't spent the money yet, so I had to come up with something else :)

To make mine I cut three 4cm strips of DP, and using a large scallop circle punch cut the bottoms of each strip.  Let me know if you haven't seen this done and I will organise some photos :)  It's also how I did the chocolate corners.  Placed them on the white cardstock and then pierced around the edge. 

This should be a challenge to use something from my desk, because yes once again I had these presents from the Helens Party set already coloured and cut out - lucky me, because I was a little late with my card this week...oops.  The Sprinkles are Metallic Pearl in 4mm and 3mm Cocoa.

I coloured them using Copics, added some extra interest with a darker marker, and raised them with some dimensional foam.

An 18th!

Now you have to tell me it's not possible, Justin's friends can't possibly be turning 18, he can't possibly be turning 18 this year himself, surely not!  Well it's true, which means I am going to have to work on more cards for young men....now that's a challenge!  I just know that somewhere amongst the stamps I'm working on will have to be one especially for Justin....so that will be interesting won't it :)

A very plain card I know, using the sketch from PCP from last week, but I really don't have a lot to work with.  I love the DP I found in my stash, so that made the job a little easier, and only one stamp!  Too easy!

I'm glad I'm not the only one running a little behind today!  Thanks Lyn for linking your card in time, it's beautiful!  As were all the other ladies, thanks for the inspiration! 

Here is this weeks sketch for those who would like to join in :)  This week the fine print is - no DP.  I was going to make it - something from off your desk, but thought I would make it a little easier.  For me these three flowers were already stamped, coloured and cut, so I just needed to use them so they wouldn't go to waste!

The flowers and words are from the Flowers For You set and have been stamped on a textured white cardstock.  To keep it simple I stamped the same image around the outer edge of the base colour using a watermark pad.  The Sprinkles are Metallic Pearls, 4mm in Cocoa.

Have fun with the sketch if you get a chance, and a great Sunday.

Hi everyone and welcome to this weeks Simply Saturday! 

The new AnnaBelle Stamps and Sprinkles have been out for two weeks now and I thought it might be an idea to share some around to help spread the word :)  Simply join in todays sketch - leave a link to your blog or online gallery with Mr Linky - and most important tell everyone about it!  I will randomly select two winners who will receive :

For todays card I've used the set Floral Stems and stamped the image three times on Smooth white cardstock.

I stamped a couple of extra flowers, coloured and cut them out - not too sure why I only did two rather than three though?!?

Todays Sprinkling of bling are the new Metallic Pearl Cocoa in 4mm, and they are just so yummy!  I kept everything else plain and finished it up pretty quickly so we could take the boys for a swim at a friends - 37 here today and hotter tomorrow - which is o.k. because it is Summer after all.

Hope you can find a minute to put your CAS card together for this week, and just think that if I only get one entry then they'll win it all.

Male Bling?!?

Another day, another card!  I actually made this card a couple of weeks ago for my FIL's birthday, but had to wait until after the release to share it...and then I very nearly forgot too!

The AnnaBelle range at this stage doesn't have any male sets as such, so I had to think how I was going to Make one suitable for a man.  Of course the paper is everything, and this is one of my favourites from SU!, I have made so many cards from this pack.

I took the words from the set Flowers With Love and stamped them directly on to the DSP with Palette Burnt Umber.

Once the sentiment was cut out with the Spellbinders die and embossed, I stamped a small bling from the Build-a-bling set and attached 3mm and 4mm Cocoa Drops.  I've called these solid drops of colour Metallics, but they are a cross between pearls and metallics, and are just gorgeous!  The larger bling image is from the Flourishes set. and 3mm Cocoa drops were used here as well.

Images Revealed

Hi everyone and welcome to AnnaBelle Stamps release day!  I'm so excited to be sharing these with you, so I'll get right to it.

Todays card is for the sketch challenge over at AnnaBelle's Blog, so be sure to check the other DT cards and have a go at it :)  The first stamp set I've used is called Flowers For You and has 26 stamps!

The images have been stamped with Palette Burnt Umber, and coloured with Twinkling H2O's.  I used Classic Square Spellbinders to cut the image out, embossed it, and lightly sponged.  The larger outer square is too large for a Spellbinders die, but I wanted the same look as the smaller square, so I took the largest die and held it in place to sponge and just moved it around to each corner.

The smaller words from the set fit neatly inside the fatter vases - I'll show you card soon! - but just shows how you can change the look around....Different vases and different flowers each time.  So cute!

The next stamp set used on this card is called Flourishes.  Now you might be thinking that you can't see another stamp on the card?  Well you'd be right, you can't see it any more!  The bling on this card was created with this stamp set :

I stamped the swirl from the top right hand corner of the set and then I added the new 3mm Metallic Cocoa drops on top of the dots using Glossy Accents.  Isn't that just so groovy!  Now don't be thinking that this takes forever to do, it doesn't really take too long at all.  I just go 'dot' 'dot' 'dot' with the glue then add the Sprinkles or Pearls on top, I might straigten with my craft knife, and then I go 'dot' 'dot' 'dot' again.  LOL that probably sounds funny, and I'm thinking I must say that when I'm doing it!  I hope to have a video done very soon just to show you how easy it is! (as soon as I learn how to edit and upload)

So that's two sets, and here are the others...

I have lots of new Sprinkles to show you as well!  There are 12 new 3mm & 4mm Sprinkle colours, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm Sprinkle Hearts in Icicle, Chilli and Blossom.  Two new 3mm & 4mm Metallic colours - my favourites. New Pearl Hearts in 6mm, 8mm and 10mm, and Pearl Drops in 4mmx6mm and 5mmx8mm in both white and cream pearl.
