Lollipop Ladies Challenge #28

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by for another Lollipop Ladies yummy challenge!  They have come up with another gorgeous photo for inspiration this week :

Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes and Paper Piecing!

Don't these look sensational, some people are just clever!

I went for a clean look today and sponged my background with Scattered Straw, Tea Dye and a touch of Walnut Stain before stamping my background from BBD5 with Tea Dye.

I paper pieced the vase from the set Mother's Day Bouquet and coloured the flowers from the same set using Copics.  My sentiment is from our newly released set Squared Posies, and my tag has been tied with our Dark Brown Hemp Twine, and a couple of Rose 6mm Sprinkles at the top.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #27

Welcome to another challenge by the Lollipop Ladies!  This week we have the most gorgeous little cupcake for inspiration!  To go with the cupcake we are looking for embossing on your creation.  Isn't the detail in this cupcake just beautiful!  I wish I could create something like this :)

I kept very much to the colours in the image and simple embossing for my card.  It's a very dull day here so the photo doesn't look as alive as the cupcake :)

 
My cupcake is from the 'Take the Cake' set and has been coloured with Copics.  The ribbon has been tied with a scrap piece of White twine and the sentiment was quickly sponged to match.  One of my original Cuttlebug folders has been used for the background :)

Have a wonderful day today!  We are in Melbourne for a few hours and then back home again, but I'll resist the urge to shop.....maybe!

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #24

Are you ready for another yummy challenge from the Lollipop Ladies?!?  This fortnights challenge uses this gorgeous picture as inspiration :

Isn't this fairy floss machine too cute!  This weeks added challenge is to use fibre, which I had to have a bit of a think about, but I managed to come up with something :)

 It was late last night when I took the photo of my card so it looks a little blasted with white light from my lamp and camera lol!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today I pulled out Lil Molly with Flowers and stamped her on smooth white card with Memento ink, coloured with Copics and shaded with pencils.  The bottom pink panel has been stamped with the flower panel from BBD4 which I used yesterday to create the background paper designs.

I've covered the flowers with chopped up pieces of AnnaBelle Fuchsia Hemp and adhered them with Best Ever Glue.  I was hoping to make it look like super bright fairy floss!  I know I would never had let my boys eat anything that bright!

I've used the sketch from Card Patterns for this weeks card.  It seems like ages since I've had a chance to play along in other challenges so I'm loving that I've nearly completed stocktake....just need to knuckle down and finish the books for the accountant lol!

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #23

Hello everyone :)  We have a brand new challenge this week from the Lollipop Ladies, and 'Yum' who doesn't love these :

This weeks theme is 'Licking the beaters' with the added theme of metal!  Who still gets to lick the beaters in their home??  I certainly don't, not with 3, sorry 4 boys/men in the house!
Adding metal this week was a little hard for me and I really had to think, but then I simply had to give up because I didn't have anything.....then I looked at my card and thought that perhaps we could count the Metallics Sprinkles!!!  Yay!

For my card today I distressed my main panel with Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick before stamping with an image from BBD2.

My Yummy cupcake from 'Take the Cake' has been coloured with Copics then cut and sponged holding my Spellbinders die in place.  And I'd better not forget my metal element to this weeks challenge Cocoa Metallics Sprinkles :)

I've used this sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketches my card, which helped make it come together very quickly.  Poor Sammi must be sick of me sending my card through late!!

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #22

Here we are again for another Lollipop Ladies challenge! 

This week we are taking our inspiration from a Rainbow Paddle Pop and swirls! I use to love Paddle Pops as a child and I know memories always 'taste' better than reality :)

I worked with a great sketch from Card Patterns #118 :

I grabbed out a set I haven't used for a little while - Mum's Flowers - and created a simple little scene with this set.  I sponged my colour on, stamped and cut out the flowers and butterfly and just had a bit of fun with it.  In the end I realised I hadn't added any swirls which I was going to add to the sky, so I hope the wavy 'hillside' can be counted...or even the little swirl on the end of the butterfly lol!

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #21

Welcome to this fortnights Lollipop Ladies challenge!  We have some yummy goodness to get you thinking and creating this week....Banana Custard!

And look at the lashings of cream to go with with it!  The bonus theme this week if you'd like to use it is 'Vintage'!

I wasn't sure what to do for my card, so I decided to pick up on the yellow.  Really that was easy....and obvious lol!...and I added AnnaBelle Cream Pearls to match the cream :)

 

My base card of Smooth White has been distressed and stamped with Scattered Straw.  The background stamp is from the BBD3 set.

The centre card was again distressed with Scattered Straw, then Frayed Burlap and finally edged with Walnut Stain.  My images are from All Things Grow, and the twine is Cream Twisted Paper Cord.

My sketch is for the Clean & Simple challenge this week....but do you think they'll notice I didn't add the sentiment in the right place??

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #19

Hi my blogging friends!  I hope your Easter was filled with Joy!  It's time for another Lollipop Ladies Challenge, and this weeks inspiration photo is incredible candy ribbon!

I wasn't sure what it was until I took a closer look lol!, but isn't it amazing, it's too beautiful to eat!

There are so many colours for inspiration in this photo so you can take your pick and our bonus theme for this week is to use ribbon on your project if you can fit it in :)

 

 

For my card I wanted to create a ribbon flower, but they simply wouldn't work the other night, so I had to move on to something else to meet my deadline (which I was late for....I think having chocolate again after so long effected the brain cells lol!).

So I simply set about stitching some beautiful 38mm Stripe ribbon on to my card and scrunched it up as I went.  Ran my sewing machine around the outer edge then stamped the flower stem from the Stemmed Flowers set, and three flowers which I've layered and popped with dimensional foam.

The sentiment is from the Branch Out set and was stamped with Brilliance Thyme.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #17

How are you this Wednesday morning?  I hope you are ready to play along with another Lollipop Ladies yummy challenge!  I have a couple of 'little' surprises to share with you today, and I would love to hear what you think :)

This fortnights challenge focuses on these gorgeous looking macaroons and gloss!  I think I could easily try each of these yummy looking biscuits!

To play along simply create a project using this picture as inspiration and adding gloss.  You have two weeks to get your entry in (simply add it to the Lollipop Ladies post) for your chance at this challenges prize!

For my card today I've used a new stamp set due out soon from AnnaBelle stamps (you could call this a little sneak peek!), as well as Digi paper coming soon to AnnaBelle Stamps (OK so a little more than a little sneak peek!).  I've cut the flower images with my Black Cat Cougar using an SVG file I've created, then stamped the images with Memento Rich Cocoa.  To make aligning the images up with the die cuts I lay the cutouts on dark cardstock and then stamp :)

The flowers have been coloured with Copics in colours to match those gorgeous macaroons, and the centre sentiment is covered in Glossy Accents which is really hard to photograph!  Beautiful AnnaBelle Pearls in the centre of the other flowers and White Twisted Paper Cord to finish.  I've used the current ABSC sketch for my layout and kept it to a very CAS style :)

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #16

Hi all and welcome to another Lollipop Ladies fun challenge!  

This weeks challenge inspiration photo uses yummy necklaces and the bonus theme of circles to get you inspired!

I must admit that this challenge was hard for me, and I simply couldn't think of what to do for necklaces, so I took the colours and used circles in my card.

 

 

I loved this sketch from the Clean & Simple Challenge blog :

I have the perfect set to use for this sketch....but I just couldn't use it because it hasn't even been released yet lol!  I got in to trouble for my 'Say It With..Love' card for doing that so I thought better of it this time :)

Initially I had cut my flowers just with a circle punch but it didn't look quite right so I cut them out.  The card doesn't look as plain as it does in the photo, and I'm thinking now that it needs something else...I just don't know what!

 The flowers are from the Stemmed Flowers set and I've used 3mm Sprinkles in Rose, Pineapple and Lime with Pink Twisted Paper Cord.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #15

Hi all and welcome to the Lollipop Ladies new challenge this fortnight!  We have some exciting new ladies joining us as well, so be sure to pop by the blog to see who the new Candy Stripers are!

This weeks challenge inspiration photo is :

Humbugs!  And for additional inspiration try adding/using stripes on your project!

I decided to go with my favourite Lil Monster for todays card, and was amazed at how different blacks can be!

 

AnnaBelle Supplies : Stamps - Lil Monsters Balloon, BBD3; Twisted Paper Cord; 6mm Chilli Sprinkle Hearts, Distress Inks.

Other Supplies : Bazzill Cardstock; Spellbinders.

I also used one of the backgrounds from the BBD3 set, and created my own stripes with a ruler and black Copic :)  I just had to add in the Chilli Sprinkle Hearts lol! And even in black he isn't a very scary Monster!

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #14

Hello all and welcome to the Lollipop Ladies challenge for this fortnight!  Today we are focussing on yummy smarties, and of course hearts!

I thought I would add some Sprinkles to my Spellbinder hearts after I had sponged them.  These are 6mm Sprinkles in different bright colours :)

The base has been sponged/distressed then a border stamp from BBD1 has been stamped over using the same colour.


I used the heart and words from Mum's Flowers, then folded the straight piece of cardstock to form something like a banner.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #13

Hi friends and welcome to another Lollipop Ladies Challenge!  We have a great challenge mix this week with the photo inspiration of Mint Fudge and the extra theme of polka dots!

If you can use both elements that would be fantastic!  I forgot again to look up what the bonus was....I have said before that I can't concentrate on two things at once very well lol! but this time it was three things because I used the Get Sketchy sketch for this week :)

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #12

It's that time again for another challenge at the Lollipop Ladies!  Where on earth did the last two weeks go!

This weeks theme photo is licorice allsorts!  Yum!

The added theme this week is to use black, which I had intended to do when I first looked up the challenge, then when I sat down to create my card I totally forgot!  Now I'll tell you why!  I was concentrating on two things at once - the sketch from Get Sketchy and the allsorts theme, which just goes to show I can't do too many things at once!  It's really not a sign of age...well I can only hope!

 

No, no black there except in the ink, and really that doesn't count....does it?  The main images are from the Take the Cake set and the pattern was made using the BBD1 set.  I've added 6mm Lime Sprinkles to the top where the sentiment should have been!  Couldn't even follow the sketch properly lol!

Well I'm giving up for today and going to the pictures with Nathan to see Tangled in 3D.  I've been promising him for weeks that we would go and everything that we were going to see has finished, so I thought I'd better get in....they'll be back at school before we know it!

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #10

Hi all and welcome to another Lollipop Ladies Challenge!  I know this is a very busy time of year, but I hope all your preparations are going along smoothly :)

Todays challenge is focused around my all time favourite chocolate...honeycomb!  I love Violet Crumbles!  Not Crunchies for me, they have to be Violet Crumbles!  In fact it's the one gift I can count on come Christmas because Chris always buys me a large bag lol!

The bonus theme toady is to have something hidden - either a message or a gift certificate, so I went with a pocket in my card for a gift card and the yummy warm colours of choc coated honeycomb.

I used my  favourite Lil Monster and stamped him with Memento on to XPress-It Blending cardstock.  He has been coloured with Copics and then shaded with pencils.  I then added a light sponging of chalk and ran a Copic around the edge.  I may have said this before, but I'll say it again lol!, always leave using your pencils till last as you can't go over with Copics once you have used them as the wax in the pencil can damage them.

When you lift the front flap of the card up you find the first part which is a little pocket for the gift card.

Then that flap opens down to show the centre where you can write your message :)  The little crosses (or kisses) across the bottom are from the same set.

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #9

Hello all!  I'm back from holidays, but still trying to get myself back in to gear lol!  It was a wonderful week together doing a lot of walking and swimming, but the boys are are back at school and work so it's time for me to do the same....lucky for todays challenge :)

Welcome to another challenge from the lovely Lollipop Ladies Sammi and Marcia!  This week they are waving gorgeous Chocolate Cupcakes in front of us to inspire us to create lol!

 
 I love chocolate cake - no surprise there - and so do all the men in my family - again no surprise lol! - but I'm not one for too much frosting, in fact I give most of mine to Chris :)   (I wish I could do the same for chocolate!).

For my card today I've used the yummy cupcake from the set Take the Cake!  It's been stamped three times on XPress-It Blending cardstock with Momento ink then coloured with Copics.

The extra bonus theme for this week is 'swirls', and at first I wasn't sure what I was going to do to add swirls to my project, but then I couldn't go past the new Licorice 3mm Sprinkles.  Using a swirl image from both the Flourishes and Build-a-bling sets I added one to each corner then adhered the Licorice Sprinkles.

The shading was done with Warm Grey Copics rather than pencils this time, and then I air brushed some Y21 to fill in some of the gaps, finishing with running the chizel end around the outer edge.  The top card has then been matted on to white card and then with dimensional foam on to the black.
