Todays card uses the sketch from Taylored Expressions.   I had to make it a quick one as we had visitors across the weekend and I had sooo much to catch up on!  Chris' parents came to visit after being away across winter - lucky things - and it was great to see them looking so well.

This card uses the large flower from the Lizzie Anne Designs set Jolies Fluers.  I have always loved this set, and have used it often it's a great one to colour.  I teamed it with some scrap DSP and matching SU! cardstock.  Added grosgrain ribbon to the back of the sentiment and Sprinkles underneath.

Friends Always

This paper from Black Market Paper Society are most unusual colours to be put together, but they seem to work so well!  The turquoise just gives it such a lift.

Todays card uses the TESC sketch for the week, and I've once again used the stamp set Far East from Lizzie Anne Designs.  Stamped with Palette Burnt Umber I decided to leave the image as is and add nothing more to it.  I pierced around the outer edge and distressed it using a paper distresser, but the blade of your scissors will also do the job, then added some of the new Sprinkles (coming soon to AnnaBelle Stamps) with Glossy Accents.

My Spellbinders once again came in handy, using both the Classic Rectangle and Classic Ovals.  The Rectangle was a little wide for the centre image so I simply cut it down the middle and overlapped the pieces.

I found that SU! Tempting Turquoise worked perfectly with this paper!

I once again had a very different image in my mind to how I thought the card would be, to how it finally turned out!  I went from one lot of DSP to another, and I think it was nearly an hour later that I decided on this one from SU!.  My problem was that I had already stamped the image, and I needed paper to match LOL

The sketch is from the Mojo crew and it's number 100, but they are having a new sketch each day this week, so be sure to check out the incredible cards, they are amazing!

The main image was stamped on a linen look DSP from CM using Palette Burnt Umber, and is from the Lizzie Anne Designs set Far East.  I pierced holes down each side and added some cute little 3mm cream pearls using Glossy Accents.  These pearls will be part of the AnnaBelle release, but if they're sitting on my desk I have to use them,... right? 

I've also pierced along the bottom of the light DSP, which you can just make out, and the pinking was done with the Spellbinders die - I don't have scissors for this, I never could cut a straight line!

God's Gift...

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

Todays card is for a very special person in my life - my Aunt - who turns 70 this coming weekend.  She is truly a gift - and lifeline at times- so these words from SU! set Gods Blessings were perfect.

I've used the sketch from TECC to make the card, and firstly decided on the DSP I would use, this one from SU!.  The centre image from Lizzie Anne Designs was stamped directly on to the DSP with Palette Burnt Umber, and cut with Circle Spellbinders.  The outer scallop uses the Petite Circle Set.

The main words were stamped on to Vixen White, and I left them as they were so they would stand out, although perhaps I could've sponged them?

I would have liked lace to from part of the bottom embellishment, but would you believe I don't have any!  So I set about using the White Vixen once again and cut it using Spellbinders Piercerabilities, lightly sponged and pierced the design, and it gave it the delicate look I was hoping for.  These Spellbinders certainly make it easy.

I've also pierced the main piece of DSP right around the outer edge, but I've done this on the reverse side, and although it doesn't show up so well in the photo you can see tiny bits of the inner white of the DSP, and it seems to help break the amount of colour - if that makes sense?!?

Another thing that is a little hard to see are the different layers.  Naturally the inner circle is raised, the words and the buttons, but I've also raised the whole front of the card to adhere it to the main Vixen piece.  The choc cardstock is Bazzill Linen Java.

Far East - Mojo 98

Todays card uses the sketch from Mojo Monday, and this week is a comp. week so be sure to join in to win.

I've pulled a new stamp set out for myself from Lizzie Anne Designs called 'Far East'.  This is one I have been eyeing off for some time...and now it's mine :)

The main image has been stamped with SU! River Rock on Vixen Cream cardstock, and cut with Spellbinders Circles.  I've pierced around the scallop edge and attached the circles to the smaller square.  On the back of this I have used dimensional foam to attach to the larger square.  This beautiful DSP and ribbon are also from SU! 

I had intended to place the rhinestones on the stamped stem, but decided against it at the last...Let me know what you think :)

I have a new banner and look going up on my blog tonight by the fabulous Michelle of Laycock Designs, so I'll have more on that tomorrow.

Retro Mojo

I love the flexibility of photopolymer stamps, or clear stamps as they're known.  With the main image I was able to curve the sentiment - from Papertrey Ink - to fit in with the centre circle!  The beautiful flower was stamped with Palette Burnt Umber and is from Jolies Fleurs from Lizzie Anne Designs, and I have coloured this with Copics.

The cardstock is SU!'s Mellow Moss, Cranberry Crisp and Pumpkin Pie, and I wish I could tell you where the DSP came from - I love it! (which is probably why I bought it)

I finished with some buttons from the Birthday mix.

Friends - Mojo 87

Well today I fiddled, and fiddled with this card.  Do you have those days?!?  I stuck it on, I took it off...I stamped in blue, green chocolate, and then blue again...I even stuck the ribbon on, and had to carefully take it off again...and on and on it went.  But here is the final, and I would love to hear what you think!  I may need to take it apart once more!..LOL

This is my card for the Mojo Monday sketch for this week, and I love the colours in this paper...but then I love anything with chocolate in it.

I decided before I get any of the new JustRite stamps I would use some that I already have, and so pulled out  a favourite in the Harmony Classic Circle Stamper II.   I used the Friends centre and stamped it in Bordering Blue (SU!) and Palette Burnt Umber, and the decorative border in Old Olive (SU!).  All these pieces were then cut with Spellbinders Circles. 

The second image on this card was made using a set called Jolies Fleurs from Lizzie Anne Designs, and I have coloured this with Copics.  The smaller flower was stamped again, coloured, cut out and raised with dimensional foam.

I have sponged most of the different sections to this card - I love doing this - using a sponge dauber, to keep with the look of the DSP I have used.

I added piercing around the square - cut with Classic Square Spellbinders - as well as the bottom section.  The ribbon is double sided satin -Latte.

Fleurs Mojo 83

I had completely forgotten that I still hadn't completed a card for Mojo Monday this week, so with the RAIN this afternoon I thought I could take some time out of my day to play.

For this card I have again used the Jolies Fleurs set from Lizzie Anne Design.  The images were stamped on Smooth white cardstock with Palette Burnt Umber, and then coloured with Copics.  The DSP is from SU!, and I love this paper as I just happen to have exact matching markers to go with it by some fluke!

I once again used the new Spellbinders die I have - Foliage Frame - cut the bottom off and then embossed the centre square using a Cuttlebug folder. 

I added some tiny rhinestones to the centre of the flower and a swirl to the other.  Both flowers have been raised with dimensional foam.

The words I have used here are from a Papertrey Ink set - Shapes by Design - and were stamped with Burnt Umber as well.

For You...Mojo 81

Here's the card with the little touch added....what do you think....yes or no??

  This was a tough one for me, and I'm still not entirely sure that I'm happy with it!  I tend to have everything at right angles and nice and straight, so when I saw this weeks Mojo Monday sketch I was indeed a little worried.

I have just added some piercing to each of the blank corners, so I will need to take a photo of that just so you can see the difference that little touch makes!  I new I wasn't happy with it..LOL

The stamps I have used here are Lizzie Anne Designs Jolies Fleurs, and SU! Taggers Dozen.  The images were stamped using Palette Burnt Umber and coloured with Copics.  Of course Spellbinders played a very big part in this card, and made all the cutting out very easy.

The cardstock is Smooth White, and everything else is from my SU! stash!

Friends and Flowers - Mojo 77

  Would you believe I started this card on Tuesday and am only finishing it today!  And I have time today as it is RAINING!  Yes we haven't seen rain for something like two months - or is it longer - but it means I don't have to water the trees today, so I can play in my 'special room'/office.

The fact that it is raining is the cause of the blue effect on the card as well, my camera not able to work when it is dull like it is today - but we don't mind because it's RAINING.

Other parts of the state had rain over the weekend which did wonders for the fires they were still trying to put out, so I'm not complaining that we didn't see any, but it's certainly lovely to have some today.

But back to the card.  I used the sketch from Mojo Monday for this week, and stamped the flower image twice on white cardstock using palette Black Noir ink and coloured them using Copics.  The flower is from the LAD set Jolies Fleurs.  With the main sentiment I used waterbased markers to colour the stamp in the two tones, 'huffed' and stamped on to white cardstock.  These words are from the SU! set Occasional Greetings.  The edges have been sponged to soften them.  On the polka dot DSP I stamped another image from the LAD set just to add a little more interest and sponged the edges of this as well.

I have had these little flowers for ages, but they are from Fancy pants.  I will have something similar in stock very soon!  I finished them off with some Dew Drops - Pearl and Soil.

A friend...Mojo75

  I had started this card on Tuesday, and thought I would see what the Mojo Monday sketch was, and as it turned out what I had started fitted in perfectly with the sketch!

This gorgeous flower is another from the Lizzie Anne Designs set Jolies Fleurs, and it has been a treat to play with.  (New designs are coming soon!).  I stamped the image twice using Noir Black and coloured with Copics, cutting both out.

I then stamped the words using SU! Old Olive from a favourite set of mine called God's Blessings.  I have reached for these words often.  And of course the beautiful DSP is also from SU!

Just a couple of finishing touches to this card and they of course include the Dew Drops Bird of Paradise down the side, and white craft ink around the Kraft cardstock.

Jolies Fleurs - TECC56

  I have had a week of starting things and not liking how they are going, so I have left them.  I'm sure that I will come back and finish them one day, but for now the ideas just weren't 'gelling'!  So unlike me is one post in a whole week, but there it was.

So today I needed a boost and it came by way of giving myself a new stamp set from Lizzie Anne Designs called Jolies Fleurs.  I love her stamps, and I have new ones coming in soon!

I've used three different stamps from the set here to wrap around the central sentiment, and coloured using Copics.

Rather than just raising the cut out stamped flowers I have placed  tiny pieces of dimensional foam in the centres and used Glossy Accents to hold the bottom of the flowers down so they 'fanned' out, and I love how this looks on the card.

The DSP for today is from SU! and is called Bali Breeze.  I seem to be using orange a lot lately so I was happy to see the colours when I opened the pack after picking it up from the P.O.  It just seems bright and friendly!

The centres were cut from my Spellbinders Classic Ovals and I have pierced the scallop one.

I have also pierced the two side panels top and bottom and using a white gel pen have joined the holes to give a stitched effect.

O Holy Night

  This set from Lizzie Anne Designs was simply meant to be embossed I have decided.  I have made a few cards with this image, and the gold ep just looks fantastic...that and the beautiful shimmer to the Quartz metallic card.

I have also used a new translucent paper with gold stars that only arrived this week in the background.  I have secured it on the gold metallic cardstock using gold brads from the metallic mix.

Both images were cut and embossed using Spellbinders, with cream organza and gold thread woven through the tag die-cut.

Seasons Greetings Simplicity

  I could have added lots more to this one - piercing, brads, buttons - all sorts of things, but I wanted to keep it simple, so that if I had to make lots of them, I could do it very quickly.

The stamp set is from Lizzie Anne Designs, and is called Glad Tidings, and unfortuneately I think I only have a couple more in stock.  Using white pigment ink I have used one of the border stamps and stamped it twice, reversing the direction for the second. The red strip of cardstock is 3cm wide and I have distressed the edges.  The olive strip is 1.5cm and I have stamped the words on to here and assembled.  This card came together as I had intended....very quickly.  All cardstock is from Stampin' Up!

Follow the Star

  Today I have used the Lizzie Anne Designs set Silent Night once again, but this time the large star has taken centre stage.

The star is stamped on white linen cardstock with Versamark and then heat embossed with AED silver embossing powder.  I have then cut the image using my Oval Spellbinders die.

The words 'Wise men still seek Him' have been stamped with Papertrey Inks Palette Spring Moss which matches the PI cardstock and designer paper.

I have pierced the outer edge of the card and used awhite gel pen to make the faux stitches.  The designer paper is matted on to plain white cardstock, and the edge distressed.

Today I would also like to share with you a card emailed to me by Sharon, who won last months 'Freebie Friday' goodies.  The main image is a stamp from Fern Gully Stamps, and Sharon isn't sure on the smaller frog, but it certainly looks like a perfect match!  She has used the sketch from the weekend TECC40, and I can see a Cuttlebug folder that I have, and one that I would like to have...
