Monochromatic - Mojo 93

Card1040709Two views of the one card!  Today was very cloudy so I've tried two angles to show you the colour of the card , albeit very few colours.

I was having a bit of a play today, and used one of my favourite techniques - Emboss Resist -  so using glossy white cardstock I pulled out my SU! Sahara Sand and ran the brayer over a piece of it.  I wanted the colour to show through.  I then stamped  an image from Inque Boutiques set " French Quarter" using Versamark ink, covered with clear embossing powder, and heat set.  Using Sahara Sand again, and my brayer I rolled the piece once more with ink, and cleaned the design up with a tissue, just to pick up any excess colour on the embossed image. IRL it looks just like old fashioned suede wallpaper!

Card2040709 The design was matted on to Vixen Cream cardstock and Java Bazzill.

The centre image was created with glossy cardstock once again.  I brayered with Sahara Sand and gently sanded in both directions.  Stamped the image with Palette Burnt Umber, brayered with Sahara Sand, sanded, then stamped the image once more.  There is a slight shadow of the main image because I haven't lined it up exactly, which actually works well :) !

I finished off with Kraft cardstock for the main card and some piercing and buttons from the new range.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend.

Cupcake Frenzy - TECC 68

Card160509 The colours in this card are sure to brighten your day...because they are most definitely bright!  This is my take on the TECC sketch challenge for this weekend.

I went Designer Paper free today, and made my own co-ordinated paper.  I started with the left hand side panel which set the colours for the card.  Using glossy white cardstock I stamped the small circle image from Inque Boutiques Party Cupcake using Versamark.  Taking my brayer I then rolled the cardstock with SU! Pumpkin Pie and added the dots using Ruby Red.

The second piece was made using the smallest cupcake from the set and stamping it randomly over Smooth White Cardstock with Palette Noir Ink.  This along with the main image were coloured using Copic markers.

Centre160509 I stamped the main image twice and cut the second one out and raised it using dimensional foam.  The 'Happy Birthday' words are from another little Inque Boutique set.

To get the zig-zag effect down the side I used my new Spellbinders Pinking Border - would you believe I don't have different border scissors..LOL ..And finished off the side with buttons from the Summertime and Boy collections.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Happy stamping everyone,

Flower Pots

Card010509 I've been wanting to try this new set I have from Our Craft Lounge, and finally had time today to do something.  I just needed to find some space to do it!

I decided last Monday that I needed two additional shelves made for my office, just to give me a little more space.  So I've had everything on the floor since then and left myself about 6" square working space on my desk.  They arrived yesterday and wouldn't you know it one was too big, so it had to be cut down and arrived this afternoon.  My office is however still in a shambles, but by the end of tomorrow it will be spick and span!

This set - Growing Gratitude - is going to become one of my favourites.  I love all the little elements.

I started by stamping the images using Palette noir on Smooth white cardstock, and colouring with my Copics.  Then I simply cut the images out, and  using my Spellbinders Label No1 cut out the two largest labels with Inque Boutique DSP. Centre010509 The smaller image has been matted on to cardstock and cut out by hand.  I pierced around the edge and added white gel pen for the stitiched effect.

I've made the opening to the card down the centre and included on the inside a large label die with a stamped image in the corner.Inner010509

I hope you'll join me tomorrow for one of the weekend sketches.  Have a great evening.

Sharing with You..

Card040409  Well it's back!  After nearly two weeks my computer is home, and I can get back to business.

This card uses the Mojo Monday sketch for this week, and as I look at the photo I realise the pearls look crooked, but I assure they are straight, so I must blame my photography..LOL

I took the words from a SU! set called God's Blessings, and a small Lil Stamp from Inque Boutique for this card.

Both the square and circle were cut using Spellbinders and embossed, although it is very hard to see, and raised with dimensional foam.  The words/image were stamped using Palette Burnt Umber on DSP from Papertrey Ink.  The little section at the back was embossed using a Cuttlebug folder and lightly sponged with Creamy Caramel (SU!) to take the starkness away, and wrapped with a gingham ribbon.  Above this section I pierced the cardstock in a zig-zag pattern.

Centre040409 The entire front of the card is raised using dimensional foam and has been matted on to Smooth White Cardstock, and I have added three Pearl Dew Drops along the side.

I hope you're having a great Saturday.

Butterfly Nature - Mojo 79

Card280309   This is my card for this weeks Mojo Monday.  Now I was basically finished this card the other day, but have been a little lost as to how to edit it etc on another computer.  Well I have done my best, but the card is a different coluor IRL - more coral than red.

The stamped images are from the SU! set Touch of Nature, one that I just love.  I used Palette Burnt Umber on smooth white cardstock and coloured the images with my Copics.  I cut them all out and ran the Copic marker around the edge to cover any remaining white cardstock showing through, before I applied Glossy Accents which really makes the colour come to life.

The DSP for this card is Inque Boutiques Cabana, the colours in this pack are just so pretty.

The bottom scalloped edge was done with my Carl cutter and I added little dots of Gold Pearl Liquid Pearls.

Centre280209 The stemmed leaves I added as an after thought this morning, it just looked as though it was missing something!  They look a little grey here but they are in fact a Copic that matches SU! River Rock and a touch of green.  I didn't want a green that would take over.

The little sentiment is one from Papertrey Ink, and I initially stamped it in Cameo Coral and when that didn't look right I went over it using the Burnt Umber.  Just love clear stamps!

The ribbon is a 10mm grosgrain called Cafe Latte.

Butterfly280309 Lastly is the butterfly, and using some fine wire I curled the ends and attached it underneath.  I have some foam tape under the wings to keep them raised and 3mm wide X-Press it tape down the centre.  A few Dew Drops in the corner and it was done!

Don't forget to add a comment on the post below for your chance to win some adhesive and choose some ribbon.

Celebrate! - TECC55

Card150209  I had a lot of fun with this sketch from Taylored Expressions this weekend.  I needed a card for a male birthday this week, and the sketch made it easy to put together, but I wasn't sure of how to embellish it.

I used the cupcake from an Inque Boutique set, as well as the words that run down the side.  Don't forget that all these stamp sets are at 30% off until sold out!

The image was stamped using Palette Burnt Umber and coloured with Copics.  I used DSP from SU! and matted them all on to Sage Shadow which I had sponged with the Burnt Umber.

Once it was all together I then pierced all the way around and using a chocolate marker joined all the holes for a stitiched effect.

It's a bit hard to see in the photo, but the cupcake and the words are both raised with foam squares to give some dimension, and Dew Drops to finish off.  I have some colours of the Dew Drops coming in soon, so keep an eye out for those!

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Joy - TECC49

Joy030109  This is my card for this weekends sketch from Taylored Expressions.

The sketch suited this new set from Our Craft Lounge perfectly, called Spring Garden, and also my favourite paper from Inque Boutique 'Isn't It Romantic' - all Inque Boutique is still on sale!

I stamped the images using Palette Noir Black and coloured with my Copic markers.Close030109

The corners have Rose Dew Drops in them for that special touch - don't you just love them!

Enjoy your weekend.

Treat Yourself - TECC47

This is a card I made on Saturday for the weekend sketch challenge, but I couldn't post it because I was having trouble with my editing program.  A very quick call made to Adobe and the problem was fixedTreat201208! ...I wish I knew more about programs and computers.

A really fun sketch from Taylored Expressions this week, and as I have finished my Christmas cards - Woohoo - and posted them, I thought I would use my new Our Craft Lounge set 'Life is Sweet'.

The gorgeous paper is from Inque Boutique and is called 'Isn't it Romantic' - don't miss the sale on these products!

The main image was coloured with my Copic markers, and die cut with one of the new Spellbinders dies.

I alomost forgot to mention...The Dew Drops are Rose, and the white ribbon is the new Double Sided Satin ribbon.

Front201208 I hope you all had a great weekend, and thank you to those that left a comment on my Freebie Friday post.  I decided to use the random.org for a bit of fun this month and it produced the number '9'..congratulations to Jill Haddad.  Email me when you can with your details and I will send the goodies out to you.

Happy Stamping everyone.

Life Is Sweet!

Life051208SV300068 copy  I have my camera back, and I have lots of photos to take and edit, but I thought I would show you this using the new 'Our Craft Lounge' stamp set Life is Sweet.

The ladies at OCL have a sketch challenge up and running and this card is based on their design which you can find here if you would like to see some incredible cards.

The images were stamped using Palette Burnt Umber and coloured with my Copic Sketch markers.  The thick plastic sheet that these stamps are stored on have beautiful coloured images of the stamps, which is perfect for people like me still learning how to use and colour with Copics.

I am still learning how to shade, but they do say practice makes perfect, so that means lots more stamping!

The DSP is from Inque Boutique, and don't forget the entire range of IB is 20% till the end of December, including this beautiful paper.

The grosgrain ribbon is fromTLOCS.

SV300069 copy Also new in this week to The Little Online Card Shop are Dew Drops by Robins Nest.  These are gorgeous little drops of colour that add to any project.  They are easily adhered using pop dots, crystal effects or anything similar.  I will say check them out a little later today when I have all the photos taken!

Here is the weekend cupcake challenge from Taylored Expressions and I hope you can join in.

Birthday Cupcake - TECC44

Bday291108  I am really running late tonight!  Others have been using the computer, so I had to wait my turn, which made me work on Christmas decorations I am still trying to finish for tomorrow - I usually wait until the 1st December to put up decorations, but tomorrow will be much easier!

This is my card for the Taylored Expressions sketch challenge this weekend which you can find here.

TECC44_(sketch)[1]

I have used the Inque Boutique mini set 'Birthday' to make the top of my 'cupcake', and the sentiment.  The dsp is from their 'Isn't it Romantic' pad - one of my favourites.

SV300056 copy The inner squares were made by punching a small square and then using a larger square punch to the outer rim.  I just wanted to add a touch of colour, so that it wouldn't be too 'heavy'.

SV300057 copy Do you like the candle on top?  It is from one of the Buttons Galore packs which are new in store, and are very cute!

I hope you get a chance to join in the stamping fun this weekend, and don't forget to leave a comment on the Freebie Friday post below for your chance to win this weekend!

Birthday Fun...TECC41

Bcake101108  This is the second card from the weekend sketches that I participate in, and it was great fun.  When I first saw the sketch it looked very feminine to me, but I needed another boy card so this is how it turned out.  You have to check out the other cards, as they are simply incredible!

The cardstock and DSP is from SU!, the cake image from Inque Boutique, and the words from Papertrey Ink.

TECC41_(sketch)[1] Rather than a scalloped edge I used buttons from the FTI Birthday range and used some white cotton in the centre.  I think I went a little over the top with the different brads, but I wanted it to be a fun card!

SV300005 copy The image is stamped with Palette Noir Black and then coloured with Copic markers.  The sprinkles were filled in with orange glitter glue.

Happy stamping everyone!

Birthday Flower Oval

Flower0611  I seem to be on a roll this week, and have found time to stamp every day....even though I do realise that I should be finishing a Christmas card order of 100 cards...

I have three birthdays next week that I will make over the weekend using the challenges as inspiration, but this card today is for my niece's birthday which is tomorrow.

I have chosen to use the Inque Boutique stamp set French Quarter, which has been a favourite of mine.  It is currently out of stock, but I hope to order stock from this company soon.

SV300071 copy I inked the stamp using my SU! markers, and then die cut it with my Spellbinders Classic Ovals.

The card base is SU! Blush Blossom and the contrast is Bazzill Basics Linen 'Rosey'.  These worked beautifully with the CM designer paper I have used.  I am very tempted at the moment to buy more DS paper but I am trying to control myself because I am a 'collector' of paper, and need to use what I already have!

The brads are from the Mini Brads Metallic mix  that I seem to be using a lot lately, but there seems to be just the right one for the job each time.

The words are from the Papertrey Ink set Shapes by Design.

Thanks for dropping by today,

Triple Treat - TECC39

SV300038 copy I thought I would give this sketch another go, and included once again these cute little cupcakes from Inque Boutiques 'Party Cupcakes'.

Starting with a piece of Sage Shadow 14cm x 28cm I have folded this in half to form the base card.  The designer paper from Inques 'Isn't it Romantic' was then cut to 13.6cm x 13.6cm and adhered to the card front with double sided tape.

Using co-ordinating designer paper I cut three pieces 3.5cm x 10.8cm and cut a 3/4" circle out of one end.  Using Pretty in Pink I cut three pieces of 3cm x 10.5cm and cut a 1" circle from each end to line up with the designer paper.

SV300040 copy These three sections were spaced evenly on the card front, and raised using foam tape squares.  Before securing them down I wrapped the polka dot ribbon around and placed a small piece of white cardstock under the hole, flat on the card, to help show up the raised cupcakes.

SV300039 copy  I then secured three brads in place and wrapped the silver thread around and tied off.

The sentiment and ribbon are both from Papertrey Ink.

I hope you have had time this weekend to stamp and relax.  See you tomorrow.

Birthday Girl - WSC62

Birthday1_1910  Sorry for the look of this picture, a DL card just doesn't seem to fit in my little photo area!

This is some more designer paper from the Inque Boutique 'Isn't it Romantic', and it's so much prettier IRL, and I have used the little cupcakes from the Party Cupcakes mini set.  They were coloured using Copic markers and punched out with a 3/4" circle punch.

The dotted satin ribbon is from Papertrey Ink, and the organza fromStampin' Up!

I hope you have enjoyed taking part in the sketch challenges, and I would love you to email me with links to your uploaded photos on Splitcoast.

Have a great day,

It's Your Day - TECC38

SV300027 copy  I thought I would share this with you before we headed off for Mass this morning - just sneaking it in, I really should be finishing the ironing!

This stamp is another of my Penny Black collection and I just think these little characters are so cute.  I coloured them using my Copics and the word 'celebrate' underneath is from the SU! set Celebrate Everyday.  The main words I printed out.

This gorgeous paper is from Inque Boutique's Isn't It Romantic Mini Papers set, and the brads from the Funky Flowers collection.  I have topped the brads with some gold Liquid Pearls.

SV300026 copy

Thanks for stopping by today, and have a great Sunday.
