I have kind of used Marion's watercolour technique with Distress Inks from this Topical Tuesday but I didn't actually colour an image, rather I simply coloured the whole piece of cardstock :)
I also borrowed the colour scheme from this gorgeous card by Christina MacLaren! Her card is stunning!!

How to play along!
Happy Friday! The new challenge is up and running at AnnaBelle Stamps Blog and you will not believe the projects the Belles have created, they will blow you away! My card is no where as creative lol!
Lil Monster has been coloured with Coloursoft Pencils and blended with Zest-It. To make the twine grass I took a strip of cardstock and laid down some double sided tape and worked my way across with the twine. I wish now I'd used green cardstock though :)
What can you create with twine?? There are so many amazing colours now available in store so be sure to check them out!

Welcome to another AnnaBelle challenge, and this week it's all about yellow and white! Two pretty easy colours to work with, but I just couldn't decide which way to go with it!!
This was meant to be a much softer coloured yellow, but I picked up Mustard Seed Distress Ink without giving it too much thought, and wow, it's bright!
My image from Ballerina Rose has been stamped with Versamark on vellum and embossed with Opaque Qhite EP, then coloured with pencils. I always hate adhering vellum so I took the easy route and attached it behind a cutout!

A favourite of mine - chocolate! - and I can't wait for Easter lol! Chocolate is minimised in our home in the lead up to Easter so come Easter Sunday morning it's a frenzy of chocolate searching!! Yum!
I had some heart shaped chocolates over from Valentines Day so I decided to make a little box for them to go in :)
They don't look like hearts do they, but I promise they are :) I'll save these for Chris for Easter I think seeing I forgot to give them to him in February for Valentines AND our anniversary lol!
I stamped our gingham border on some smooth white 105gsm paper. It is the perfect thickness for projects like this, not too heavy!
You may have noticed that my Google Friends Connect isn't working at the moment because I'm on a Typepad blog so I've added some other forms of linking for those that might like too :)

With not a lot of crafting happening for me at the moment, I felt like taking a bit of time today to colour, and it reminded me of what great therapy it really is!
I wanted a simple one layer card for my Simply Saturday project and pulled out my favourite little guy to colour (I think I've said that before once or twice lol!).
After seeing some incredible work by Danielle Daws using pencils I decided it was time to get some more practice in!

I love a sketch and this one can be detailed or CAS style. I haven't been popping in as often with projects over the last couple of weeks and there are a lot of reasons for that, but I must be out of practice because I just finished editing my photo and came in to add it to my post when I noticed I've forgotten the bling! Seeing it's 'AnnaBelle's Bling Sketch Challenge' you would've thought I would've remembered! Anyway here is my blingless card lol!
It's very hard to see but I've used linen cardstock so my distressing is not as smooth to look at but rather has texture which is nice I think :)

Thank you for your patience, I finally have a card to share for this weeks AnnaBelle challenge!
I decided to use the technique 'kissing' for my Say It With...Background Stamps! I started by inking the flower image from Fanciful Flowers with ink then I took the script from BBD6 and inked it up with Brilliance Chocolate before stamping on to my card.
I used the same script stamp on my main card.

I've had a week of not a lot of crafting, rather I've been working on new sets, and I get to a point where I just need to stamp but can't find the time! I did these three cards a few eeks ago now, and I thought doing a post and sharing them would be a good way to take a break :)
I used my Distress Inks and direct to paper techniques and whipped these cards up in a very short time! I remember having lots of fun this one afternoon :)

I sat down today with absolutely no idea what I wanted to do or create, so I started with the cardstock, cut some circles and then picked my stamps :) It felt totally back to front to me lol!
My image is lightly coloured with Copics and the top panel is raised with dimensional foam.

Welcome to another AnnaBelle challenge! We have a great one this week with 'hearts' as our theme and i think most of us would have a heart image or shape somewhere in our stash :)
I went pink today for my card rather than the traditional red! This card is 120mm x 120mm and the centre panel 80mm x 80mm. The centre has been stamped with Memento Rose Bud with our gingham background stamp and lightly sponged around the edge. The centre heart is a Spellbinders shape, sponged with the same colour then my sentiment added with Versafine. I drew a random (which I'm no good at!) boder around the gingham with a Copic multi liner. I also stamped a border on the inside :)

Today has been such an emotional day for me and so many others in our local parish as we farewelled our parish priest - Monsignor Peter Jeffrey - who is moving to New Zealand tomorrow to take up a new ministry. He has been with us for the past 16 years and has been an inspirational and loving man to all...and we will miss him! Ooops there I go again, the men in my family can't get over how many times I can cry in one day! We have such a wonderful and vibrant parish and the send of was a perfect tribute to all the work he had done.
I've decided that not only do I yawn when others do, but I cry as well lol! There must be something wrong with me! So my therapy this afternoon after the BBQ on the lawns of the Parish House was to stamp!!
I popped by Susan's 'Simplicity ' blog to find her latest OLW76 challenge ...Grey with a splash of one colour!! I rarely use grey, but this simple challenge was perfect for me this afternoon!
I could've done another one but remembered I needed a male birthday card for today!! So I got on with that instead :)
That's it for me today as I move out to the kitchen now to prepare the vegies to go with the chicken that I've just put in the oven, yes and it's a hot 36 today, so why am I doing a roast??

Today I'm playing along with the CASE-study challenge that has THIS gorgeous card by Jennifer Rzasa.
I used Jennifer's simple layout and use of twine for my card, as well as one of the new sentiments from Fanciful Flowers.
Now my next photo has nothing to do with stamping or cards but rather another joy of mine! I love making sour dough and happily 'feed' my starter every day so it's ready for when I want to make a loaf! This one I did the other day and sometimes they just work...even the split doen the middle is even lol!, so I had to take a photo :) It was yum!!

Hello blogging friends! I hope those of you in Australia had a wonderful Australia Day yesterday and enjoyed the celebrations!! It was a typical warm day here and perfect for a BBQ!
I love a sketch to follow (which I think I've mentioned a number of times before!), it just makes the planning a little easier, especially when I'm still in my pj's as I made my card and typed this! Nothing like taking things in a relaxed manner :)
For my card today I used our new Garden Silhouettes (because silhouettes make for a quick card!) and Distress Inks.
The base card has been swiped with Antique Linen - just around the edge. The centre panel uses one of the flower images which I inked with Antique Linen first then sponged on the Ripe Persimmon before stamping across my card three times. I added some of the grass across the bottom and wrapped our new .8mm Natural Twine around the top, then adhered this piece with dimensional foam.
The Pearls are 3mm Cream and the oval a Spellbinders die. The centre has been distressed with Ripe Persimmon and the sentiment stamped with Gathered Twigs.

...In black and white. I was aksed to make some Thank You cards for a boys 21st and I like CAS for a male :)
The white panel is raised with dimensional foam and the sentiment stamped with Versafine. Not much more to say than that lol! I'd better get on with making them now!
