Lollipop Ladies Challenge #28

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by for another Lollipop Ladies yummy challenge!  They have come up with another gorgeous photo for inspiration this week :

Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes and Paper Piecing!

Don't these look sensational, some people are just clever!

I went for a clean look today and sponged my background with Scattered Straw, Tea Dye and a touch of Walnut Stain before stamping my background from BBD5 with Tea Dye.

I paper pieced the vase from the set Mother's Day Bouquet and coloured the flowers from the same set using Copics.  My sentiment is from our newly released set Squared Posies, and my tag has been tied with our Dark Brown Hemp Twine, and a couple of Rose 6mm Sprinkles at the top.

Simply Saturday

I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday!  The sun has been shining here, with the birds happily chirping and ducks just wandering around everywhere...it must be Spring!  (Well nearly!).

I had to drag myself in to finish my card for a party Nathan is going to tomorrow afternoon.

I kept it very clean for my Simply Saturday post, and now that I'm looking at the photo the panel looks as though it's seperate when in fact I maked that section off, sponged and then stamped our numbers background.  Lil Monster was coloured with Copics then cut out and adhered with dimensional foam.  The 'Birthday Wishes' is also from the BBD Numbers background set, and of course some Sprinkles to finish!  These are 3mm Chilli.

Seeing I had the Mask-It out I also stamped this one using another background stamp from BBD1 and some bright fun colours!

I can't believe it!  It's September next week and the start of Spring!!!  Woohoo!  Can't wait to feel warm all the time, to shake off this cold and see the fruit trees start to blossom (some already have!).  So it's time for our last challenge for the month, our Bling Sketch:

New Look...again!

Hi this afternoon!  Well it's been a whole week since I stamped, and today when I went to save my photo I had a split second where I had to think of how I do it lol!  I blame it all on Nathan!  He passed on his nasty cold to me :)

How do you like the new look I came up with this week??  Or do you prefer the last one I did??  As much as I couldn't bring myself to stamp I managed to waste plenty of time on the computer!!

Nathan has two parties this weekend so I though I should at least get one out of the way today or I'll find myself in hot water tomorrow!

My brain needed a kick start so I did the rounds of some other challenge blogs and stopped by Card Patterns to pick up this weeks sketch and what do you think I found??  I was top 6 for Sketch 127!  I was blown away lol!

Say It With...

I am running a little behind today, I should've had my post ready well before now but I got caught up on the internet, and this card isn't even the one I was going to post today!

I was playing around with BBD5 which I normally stamp on an angle but went straight today.  It has been stamped with Versamark on Smooth White card and heat embossed using our Clear EP.  I then distressed it with Black Soot.  My main image from our new set Squared Posies (on sale for another week!) has been stamped with Brilliance ink on watercolour card and coloured using Inktense Pencils.  I took one of the sentiments from the set and stamped it around the image before cutting it to size.

I matted my main image on black card and distressed it using a distress tool.

Well it looks as though I will at least get my post up on time...but it's close lol!  Don't forget to grab our Birthday Blinkie from this post HERE for your chance to win some great prizes!!

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #27

Welcome to another challenge by the Lollipop Ladies!  This week we have the most gorgeous little cupcake for inspiration!  To go with the cupcake we are looking for embossing on your creation.  Isn't the detail in this cupcake just beautiful!  I wish I could create something like this :)

I kept very much to the colours in the image and simple embossing for my card.  It's a very dull day here so the photo doesn't look as alive as the cupcake :)

 
My cupcake is from the 'Take the Cake' set and has been coloured with Copics.  The ribbon has been tied with a scrap piece of White twine and the sentiment was quickly sponged to match.  One of my original Cuttlebug folders has been used for the background :)

Have a wonderful day today!  We are in Melbourne for a few hours and then back home again, but I'll resist the urge to shop.....maybe!

AnnaBelle Stamps Blog Hop

Here we are again for our second Hop for August!  Today we are using a new favourite - Squared Posies!  This set will be discounted by 20% for the net two weeks or while current stock lasts!

I really wanted to use all of these images today, but I got a little stuck on just one to begin with, then added another last night :)

I started with a one layer card and the daisy image for my first card!  To create the soft coloured look I've used pencils to colour and a smooth white cardstock.

This card uses a softer cardstock - watercolour 100% cotton - and gives a different finish to the penciled colouring.  This card was inspired by Sue W's card HERE.

I went very bright for my last card!  Using my Twinkling H2O's - which I haven't pulled out in ages! - my centre panel was created just using a large brush sweeping it across the watercolou paper.  The main card is ordinary Smooth white and before I painted on the Twinkling I sponged with Distress Ink - Broken China - so my base card was a shade darker.  The shimmer of the paint is so pretty and really stand out more on the smooth card.

My centre flower was coloured with Inktense Pencils this time and then cut out and attached to my background.  I finished with a sentiment from the set and 3mm Licorice Sprinkles.

Say It In...Raspberry, Olive and Orange

Another colour challenge this week to get you started ahead of the weekend :)  These have been great colours to use together, with the DT creating some stunners all of which you can find on the ABS blog!

After using our new release so much over the last couple of weeks I decided I would pull out an old favourite instead - Lil Molly's Flower's :)

Using this sketch from Card Patterns and our own colour challenge made for very little decision making which was perfect for me today lol!

The centre circle and square background have both been sponged, with the square also syamped with a background from BBD5 (my favourite!).

A touch of ribbon and a sentiment from the new set Squared Posies finished my card :)

Wishing You Sunshine

Sunshine is very much needed here this week, or just a few hours right now would be perfect timing to dry my washing lol!  But it is perfect weather for crafting...the best time to colour and play I think!

Today I wanted to take part in a CAS challenge - the one layer card bug has really caught me! - and so I found one at Splitcoast.

This week the challenge is based on a sketch which is a one layer but I did this one first, and then thought I should really make it again (I didn't take much convincing).

So  then made this one and kept the theme the same.

For both cards I used the sets Dotted Flowers (August release) and BBD5, 3mm Pineapple Sprinkles, Mustard Twine, Distress Inks and Striped Ribbon.

Simply Saturday

Phew!  Another release over, and what a fun week!  Thank you so much for your comments on the new sets, and your support, it is so appreciated!!  You still have a chance to play along with Tuesdays Blog Hop and just may be the winner of the Whimsy Flowers set!  Check it out HERE - you just may need to do a bit of scrolling :)

I haven't had much of an opportunity to play on Saturdays over the last couple of weeks, so todays 'Simply Saturday' cards were fun for me :)  I turned to the AnnaBelle challenge this week - Say It With...One Layer - and did another card, this time using the Whimsy Flowers set and Coloursoft Pencils.

The image has been stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and the pencil blended with Zest-It (a beautiful orange smelling concoction!) and paper stumps.  I thought I might do a video of the pencils and using the paper stumps if anyone is interested in seeing??  Remember though I'm not an expert lol! Just a lover of colouring :)

I didn't get much time during the release to use our last set Dotted Flowers, so I pulled it out again this morning (It's raining here!!) and had another play :)  The flowers in the background are from BBD4, I paper pieced the vase and added 3mm Pumpkin Sprinkles to the sentiment.

This one just uses one of the flowers and a sentiment.  How I managed to get a nice birght picture for the last card and not this one baffles me lol!

With all my cards this week I only managed one card for today lol!

With the challenge being a one layer card I just had to sponge/distress!  Using Mask-It I sponged/distressed each of the sides, and before lifting the Mask-It  I stamped our dots from the BBD1 set.  What do you think, a little too out there lol!  I was hoping for a layered look, I guess 'faux DP' :)

There are so many sentiments here I didn't get to use all of them lol! but I did use...one :)

My first card has been coloured with Copics and a touch of pencil for shading.
I went a bit 'arty' with this one lol!  This card measures 14cm x14cm and is watercolour paper stamped with Brilliance and coloured with Inktense pencils.

This flower definitely had a Christmas feel to it so I had to use a sentiment from tomorrows set :)  The backgrounds are BBD2 & BBD5, and once again I've used Inktense pencils.

Hi and welcome to our first Blog Hop for August and the release of our first set this month!  We have four sets being released over the next four days which is very exciting!

The first set is Whimsy Flowers :

For this image I've coloured the centre image with Copics and sponged the sentiment circle before stamping the 'Birthday Greetings'.

 
I wanted to see how well pencils would work on Kraft cardstock, and just added some shading outside the rectangle for dimension.


I kept this very 'clean & simple' once again!  My image has been coloured with Copics and the background air brushed before stamping the smaller flower.

Pencils again for this one, but this time Inktense pencils!   Both the yellow and green backgrounds are watercoloured as well :)
