Lollipop Ladies Challenge #17

How are you this Wednesday morning?  I hope you are ready to play along with another Lollipop Ladies yummy challenge!  I have a couple of 'little' surprises to share with you today, and I would love to hear what you think :)

This fortnights challenge focuses on these gorgeous looking macaroons and gloss!  I think I could easily try each of these yummy looking biscuits!

To play along simply create a project using this picture as inspiration and adding gloss.  You have two weeks to get your entry in (simply add it to the Lollipop Ladies post) for your chance at this challenges prize!

For my card today I've used a new stamp set due out soon from AnnaBelle stamps (you could call this a little sneak peek!), as well as Digi paper coming soon to AnnaBelle Stamps (OK so a little more than a little sneak peek!).  I've cut the flower images with my Black Cat Cougar using an SVG file I've created, then stamped the images with Memento Rich Cocoa.  To make aligning the images up with the die cuts I lay the cutouts on dark cardstock and then stamp :)

The flowers have been coloured with Copics in colours to match those gorgeous macaroons, and the centre sentiment is covered in Glossy Accents which is really hard to photograph!  Beautiful AnnaBelle Pearls in the centre of the other flowers and White Twisted Paper Cord to finish.  I've used the current ABSC sketch for my layout and kept it to a very CAS style :)

Simply Saturday - SS9

Hi all :)  What a fabulous day it is today!   The sun is shining and everything looks so fresh after rain during the week!

Whilst I was ironing this morning I was thinking about the card I would make this afternoon (it gets me through the pile!).  I decided once again to go with a one layer card, but I wanted to try and make it look more than one layer, but still keeping the CAS look.  So here is the sketch I came up with :

I've started another card that I intend to sponge both top and bottom of the ribbon but change the colours to try and get the two layer look rather than in this one where I've kept the top white...I thought I had better get my post finished though then come back to the second card :)

I've used one of the border stamps from BBD1 and sponged with Worn Lipstick.  The sentiment is from the All Things Grow set, and I liked the fine look to the font for this delicate looking card :)  The Sprinkles are 3mm Cocoa and the ribbon 16mm DF satin Tuftan.

Hi friends and welcome to another AnnaBelle Bling Sketch Challenge!  Yet another month has slipped by and our weather is starting to change.  The mornings are darker and the evenings a little cooler, and I am not looking forward to winter.....I hate being cold!

The three squares are stepped up and have been sponged before stamping my images on.  These images are from the All Things Grow set which is out of stock at the minute, but will be back soon!

Castastic Wednesday

Hi to everyone today!  It's a great day to be tidying my office - which I've yet to do - but first I thought I would share this five minute card, that has very little stamping, but I hope you'll like :)

As you can see there's not a lot to tell you about this one lol! but it's always good to create a little before cleaning!  I love this new cardstock I've just received and I'll be telling you a little more about this and other things very soon!  Very hush hush at the moment :-)

Simply Saturday - SS8 & Blog Candy Winner!

Hi friends and welcome to another Simply Saturday Sketch!  I love that simply scoring your cardstock can add such dimension, so in todays card I've scored my centre panel, but still kept the card very clean and simple :)

Say It With...

...A Tag!  We use tags for so many things that we'd love to see how you use tags!  Pop by the AnnaBelle blog to add your link!

This is not how this card started out!  I had intended for the centre image to be a large tag/bookmark, but it just didn't work lol!

I usually like to work with warm colours, and tend to sponge in brown earthy tones, but today I went for black for a change :)

Release 2 - Lil Michelle Swinging By

You'll find the Lollipop Ladies challenge HERE :)

Hi and welcome to day two of AnnaBelle Stamps Release!  We have another little cutie to share with you today, and it's Lil Michelle Swinging By :

I had lots of fun colouring another fun image from the very talented Helen Pickup, and I hope you will too!

I used watercolour markers for this one and added chalk for the sky.  My second photo was taken without the flash so it showed the chalk...you can only just make it out in the first one :)  The Sprinkles are 6mm Turquoise and the Twisted Paper Cord is also Turquoise.

For my second card I've created an svg file so that I could cut Lil Michelle out and I also created the scallop oval....I can see I am going to have lots of fun with this machine!

I went back to Copics and pencils to colour this one, and sponged the oval (which I also cut on my Black Cat!) with Distress Inks.  The Sprinkles are 6mm Artichoke and the Twisted Paper Cord is Olive, so be sure to check them both out in the shop :)

Lollipop Ladies Challenge #16

Hi all and welcome to another Lollipop Ladies fun challenge!  

This weeks challenge inspiration photo uses yummy necklaces and the bonus theme of circles to get you inspired!

I must admit that this challenge was hard for me, and I simply couldn't think of what to do for necklaces, so I took the colours and used circles in my card.

 

 

I loved this sketch from the Clean & Simple Challenge blog :

I have the perfect set to use for this sketch....but I just couldn't use it because it hasn't even been released yet lol!  I got in to trouble for my 'Say It With..Love' card for doing that so I thought better of it this time :)

Initially I had cut my flowers just with a circle punch but it didn't look quite right so I cut them out.  The card doesn't look as plain as it does in the photo, and I'm thinking now that it needs something else...I just don't know what!

 The flowers are from the Stemmed Flowers set and I've used 3mm Sprinkles in Rose, Pineapple and Lime with Pink Twisted Paper Cord.

Release 1 - Lil Monster Gone Fishing

Hello friends and welcome to the March AnnaBelle Stamps Blog Hop!  If you've come from the ABS blog then you are on the right track :)

I have to say that I have had such fun colouring this little guy!  I think I have made him just about every colour, and I still don't have a favourite....although I have done two green ones lol!!  Hand drawn by Helen Pickup, I just know you are going to love him as well :)

I may have mentioned that I purchased a Black Cat Cougar cutter just before Christmas, and I hadn't had much time to have a play...well last Friday night I spent a bit of time (over Skype) with Karen Strong the lovely lady I bought it off and I'm now on my way....well nearly lol!  I've managed to make an svg file for our Lil Monster - no more fussy cutting - and I found it easy enough to stamp on the die cut by laying it on a dark piece of cardstock!  He's lined up pretty well don't you think?  I hope to have files available for some of our sets very soon!

I made the box from a file I purchased :)

I've used this weeks sketch from Card Patterns Challenge blog sketch 106, and my card is 14cm x 14cm.  

 

 

 

 

 

My second card is  smaller than the first and I've used a Spellbinders die to cut the shape then watercoloured him :)

March Sneak Peek!

Hello today for a very small sneak peek of the new sets for AnnaBelle Stamps this month!  We have two new Lil Belles, but who do you think they might be??

I didn't want to give too much away, but I hope you can guess who it is :)  I've had such fun colouring that it has left very little time for anything else, and not one project is finished yet!  I have until Tuesday, and I hope to see you then :)

Simply Saturday - SS7 and Blog Candy!!

What a great week it has been so far!  I have known for a little while that our lovely Iwona had a card published in the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine, but I didn't know until this week when it came on sale that her card, starring our very own Lil Bee, made the front cover!!!  How amazing is that!  Congratulations to Iwona!  So to celebrate I think it would be a great idea to have this little guy as blog candy.  I have full details and the link below for you to play along, but I'd better get on with todays card :)

You could say that I have made it very CAS today!  For my card I kept it to a one layer card, but feel free to add a centre layer if you like...it's all about how you interpret the sketch :)

I couldn't not use Lil Bee today now could I!  Can you tell how excited I am that one of our stamps is on the front cover of a magazine!

I have watercoloured him, so the cardstock is smooth watercolour paper and is a nice sturdy 300gsm.  I used a copic fineliner to create my border and added some Heart Chilli Sprinkles to the corners.

Say It In...

...Blue, Red and White!

These colours are a great change from what I've been using lately, and are perfect for a boys card...or girls!

I pulled out my Copics for today and stamped my images from the Take the Cake set (on sale at the moment, 20%off!!) with Memento ink.  I added a little shading around the cupcake with watercolour pencils, and faux stitching, before distressing and adding 3mm Chilli Sprinkles.

The sketch is from the Sweet Sunday blog, which at first I thought that it will take some working out to get the sizing right, and would you believe that after punching out the smaller images and then lining them up with the cupcake I only had to shave a tiny piece off!  I was amazed....it never works out so easily LOL!

Sketch 105

Hi today!!  It's been an 'all work and no play week' this week, and I very much wanted to do something today, but I didn't have time to colour!  So my favourite set to turn to at the moment is All Things Grow.

I kept the sketch from Card Patterns very simple, and as luck would have it, when I opened my 'white cardstock' draw the piece I pulled out for the centre didn't even have to be trimmed....I worked with it as is lol!

Sponged/distressed using Distress Inks - Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw and Rusty Hinge - then edged with Walnut Stain, I 'flicked' some drops of water on before stamping my main image which is also in Walnut Stain.

I am so glad I took time out to stamp, and if you're having one of those weeks make some time for yourself today :)

Simply Saturday - SS6

Hi all!  Are you ready to get your fingers inky once again!  Today I've taken a piece of smooth white card and embossed, sponged and stamped :)  

AnnaBelle Supplies : Stamp - All Things Grow;  Twisted paper Cord - Chocolate;  Distress Inks (more coming soon!  Drop me an email if there is a colour you would like to see in the shop!); Versamark; Smooth White Cardstock.

Other Supplies :  Card - Bazzill, SU!

As I may have mentioned before, I love blue and green, so the first two colours I reached for were Shabby Shutters and Broken China.

On Smooth White cardstock I stamped the larger grass from the All Things Grow set with Versamark and added AnnaBelle Clear Gloss EP then heat set.  I then sponged my two favourite colours on and stamped the same stamp with Brushed Corduroy then the smaller reeds with Forest Moss.  To give just a little more shading I added some Forest Moss to the bottom and Faded Jeans to the sky.

I split our Twisted Paper Cord in two and wrapped it around then added a bow to my little tag.

Say It With...

...Love!

I chose the theme for this week because yesterday was our wedding anniversary - 21 years!  Last year I said we wouldn't let it pass by without celebrating it in some way, but life always seems to get in the way lol!  Yesterday we were in Melbourne for Adams orthodontist appointment, so at least we did something a little different?!?

For my card I used the sketch from Card Patterns :

When I saw it I knew what I wanted to do!  I've actually used two stamps from a set that hasn't even been released yet, but it was sitting on my desk, so what could I do??  It can be our little secret lol!

The heart image was stamped on to watercolour paper and then watercoloured with markers.  There's a nice texture to both of the white cardstocks but it simply doesn't show up in the photo.
