Hello friends! I have had a lovely day stamping! I may have mentioned just before Christmas that I had made a purchase for my craft room, and finally yesterday I started to learn just a little more about it! I still haven't created anything with it but I will share what it is....It is a Black Cat Cougar Cutter! I was so excited to get it but then came Christmas, school holidays and the January release and time was just slipping by, but now I have all the programs loaded and am spending some time getting to know my new 'cougar'! What a great name for a machine, and I swear that the name didn't influence me at all lol!
I have four challenges lined up that I 'want' to complete this week and the first one is for the Case Study Challenge blog run by our very own Chupa! If you haven't checked it out you really should, it's fantastic! I have been going to play along for ages but once again work must come first before play.....well nearly all the time :)
I decided to go with the sketch and general colour theme used in this weeks 'Case Study' on offer from Mercy Kerin (who is amazing by the way!!). I've cut my circle using Spellbinders and sponged on my colour before stamping my images from the All Things Grow set over the top. I actually spent longer trying to colour match my buttons using Copics than actually making the card!
The twine is our new Natural Twine that once it was tied I've split and frayed a little. The smaller button uses an off cut and to make the twine fit I've completed separated the twine and only used two of the threads and tied it in to a knot. This twine is perfect for gift wrapping as well!
Thanks for popping by today :)
