Hi all on this glorious Autumn day we are having! We had soccer for Nathan at 12.00 (a much better time than when Adam played - 9.00 in the morning was always a bit cold over winter!), and standing in the sun was beautiful.
On my last post I mentioned a new toy that I 'needed' after the Copic course, and Teresa left a comment guessing exactly what it was, lol! And what fun airbrushing is going to be! I tend to jump in a little too quickly when I'm excited, and start playing before I'm properly set up for it. Let me stress, as it was at the course, that Copics are permanent, and spraying reaches a lot further than you can see initially!...but a lot of fun.
For todays card, and because I'm playing with a new toy, I thought the pink cardstock was a little plain, so I added a touch of R29 using the airbrush system.
See how pretty it looks! The White Pearls in 8mm and 3mm were also sprayed with the same colour, and to keep them in place while I did it - because air can move them around - I cut a strip of Mask-It (in store soon) a low tack sheet meant for masking an area we don't want sprayed, and I discovered perfect to hold the pearls where I needed them!
I've also played with our Petals and Ribbon, and am having such a ball.
The beautiful rose was made using a tutorial sent to me by Sandie, and made by Petronella. Tune in here if you'd like to give it a go! Rather than securing the ends of my ribbon after tying a knot as shown in the video, I've left them as I would for a bow and just secured the back with a couple of glue dots.
So todays Simply Saturday card is to use scallops, and you can use the above sketch and include the ribbon rose if you like :)
