O Come Let Us Adore Him

  Hi everyone on this beautiful Saturday afternoon, it is just glorious outside!

One of the new AnnaBelle Stamps sets is called Wise Men, and todays card uses three of the stamps from the set.  I was going to wait until tomorrow to show you this set, but seeing it was such a beautiful day...here it is.

I've made yet another Easel card - just 'cause I'm loving them so much - and made it just a little larger than the previous two.

The main image of the Three Wise Men was stamped with Palette Noir on to textured white cardstock and coloured with Copics.  I've quickly cut around the top of the images so this beautiful Bazzill cardstock can show through as the evening sky.  Both the star and words were stamped with Versamark, coated with Silver ep and heat set.  The Sprinkles are 6mm Blueberry, and fitted in perfectly.

Dotty Birthday Balloons

  Hi all!  Yes today I have another easel card, simply because I enjoyed the last one so much!

This card was extremely quick and easy.  Using some lovely bright DSP from SU!  I cut the main pieces to fit the bottom and front of the easel card, stamped the words from the Helens Party set, as well as the balloons, directly on the DSP and mounted the balloons with dimensional foam....see I said it was an easy one.  I used Pumpkin Sprinkles rather than a button this time, and they worked a treat.

Holly Wreath

I have loved seeing the Easel cards on Splitcoast and all the blogs lately, and they are just so easy you won't believe!  Check out a brief tutorial HERE.

Using three of the holly designs from the soon to be released set Holly Branch - 1st November!! - from AnnaBelle Stamps, I shaped them into a semi-circle and stamped them once using Palette Noir on Smooth White Cardstock. Re-inking the stamps and turning them around I stamped again to form the circle. 

I went with beautiful bright colours for the holly this time and so used Copics YG05, YG07 and R24.  Cut the circle from the largest Spellbinders Circles and Scallop.  The pinkish cardstock is actually a metallic card and is so pretty IRL.

To match the card I decorated a small take away box, wrapping some silver thread around the box and tieing it off with some pink organza.  The wording on both projects are from another one of the new release sets that I will start show casing this week :)

Joy to the World

Today I've used the same single holly stamp that I used in the last card - I'm not giving too much away am I, and words from the same set.  The new sets are due for release 1st November, and we have some other exciting things starting, and give aways so stay tuned as they say! 

The images have been stamped on cream watercolour paper with Palette Moulin Rouge and Burnt Umber, and then coloured with watercolour crayons.  I left it fairly simple because I absolutely love this DSP from SU! and I thought there was enough happening.

The sketch is from Mojo Monday, and I have altered it just a little by dropping the circle down and following the ribbon and bow across.  I used the fabulous Bow Easy to tie the bow (more in stock soon) and cut my shapes with Spellbinders.

Holly Christmas

I am very excited to share with you today a card using one of the soon to be released Christmas stamps from AnnaBelle Stamps, called Holly Branch.  This set includes four different holly stems that can be joined to make a lovely branch, or shaped in to a circle, or a single one used to make this gorgeous background paper....but more on that next time :)

I've used the sketch from Paper Craft Planet for this week, and stamped the holly image on Vixen White cardstock using Palette Burnt Umber, and used Copics to colour.

This beautiful red cardstock is Bazzill Pomegranate, and I think I will be using this colour a bit this year...I just love it!

I ran my green Copic marker around the outer edge of the background to finish it off.

New in this release will also be a selection of 'Mini' Sprinkles - a mix of 3mm, 4mm and 5mm - in gorgeous Christmas colours. Here I have used 3mm Cherry Sprinkles, a very deep rich colour.

Elephant Friendship

Would you believe I've had these little elephants from the Elephant Valentine set coloured and cut out for weeks, and just hadn't decided what I was going to do with them.  This weeks Mojo sketch fitted them perfectly, and put my decision making to an end.

Stamped with Palette Noir and coloured with Copics, these images were very quick and easy to cut out.  The young lady is adhered using dimensional foam while the other I've just used double sided tape.  They would be so cute for a baby card as well!

I'm getting myself in to the Christmas mood and have been working on some cards and other projects....I just love Christmas!

Make a Wish

  I hope everyone has had a fabulous week, and that the weekend will be restful.  This week has just flown, and we've included a trip to Melbourne with Adam to see an orthodontist....lucky I did a little shopping before the appointment!

Todays card uses the sketch from Paper Craft Planet, and I've kept it nice and simple.....and quick.

The main image is from the set 'Diva' and today I've put the wand in her hand.  It has been stamped with Palette Burnt Umber and coloured with Copics.  The Spellbinders die is Labels 4 and the edges are from the Borderabilities set - Eyelets.  The tiny little Sprinkles you see are 3mm Artichoke and will be available in the upcoming Christmas release for AnnaBelle Stamps, but I just couldn't wait to use them :)  Sneak peaks of the new sets and new Sprinkles will begin next week!

For Justin's Birthday

Our eldest son, Justin, turns 17 tomorrow, and I can't believe that that many years have flown by, but they have, and they've all been wonderful.  My boys can be messy, and yes they do fight, but I wouldn't change any of it.

Justin loves his drums, and he certainly loves playing them - which is why we moved him out to the shed - so it was a simple card that I put together for him. Using the cake from Helens Party I stamped it twice with Palette Burnt Umber and coloured with Copics. I've cut the cake out and then the icing of the second, and using dimensional foam adhered them to a piece of DSP which I've sponged with the Burnt Umber.  The Creamy Caramel cardstock from SU! was cut with Spellbinders Classic Rectangles and also sponged, then dimensional foam adhered to the back.

The dark cardstock is Java Bazzill, then Vixen Cream ( which is what the main image is stamped on), then Kraft.  I added some piercing around the outer edge and Peach Sprinkles to the front and I was finished :) (I think I'll now repeat it for my brothers birthday on Wednesday!)

I've been meaning to share a photo of my family at Chris' 50th just a few weeks ago.  We've been out for tea and come home for cake so I'm already in my trackies and Nathan is in his pyjamas and it was only about 8.30 - we don't go out very often!  Justin is beside me, and Adam is trying to avoid having his photo taken - he's very much like me.

Thinking of You Blooms

I couldn't resist making another card using the Mojo sketch for this week....and using orange again!  I love orange although my favourite colour is blue and then green, orange comes a very close third, and this gorgeous paper from Stampin' Up! is another one of my favourites.

Today I pulled out my Mums Flowers set once again - I love these flowers.  They look great on their own or in groups, and they are just so cheery - you don't think I might be a little bias *wink* do you?

They've been stamped with Palette Burnt Umber and coloured with Copics.  I added some white gel pen highlights and a single Rhubarb Sprinkle to the centre.  The other Sprinkles are Pumpkin and have been adhered using Glossy Accents.  I tied the end of the ribbon with some fine twine and added a small button.

Cupcake Delight

 With daylight saving starting last Sunday we lost an hour, but it seems as though I have lost an hour each day since!  I finished this card this afternoon but have only just found some time to post it lol!, so if nothing makes sense at least you know why :)

This card is using the Mojo sketch this week.  I had this DSP on my desk ready to use, so my colours were already chosen.  The image is the single stamp Party Cupcake and has been stamped with Palette Noir on White Vixen, and coloured with Copics.  I've added some faux stitching around the outer edges, and Avocado Sprinkles to the top and bottom.

The bow was on and then off again, but ultimately made it in the photo...I just wasn't sure whether to leave it on or not.  I used the fabulous Bow Easy to make it - it just makes it so easy!

I went back to basics today to show that you can start with just a few basic supplies and stamps, and come up with some versatile cards!  When I started making cards many, many (and yes) many years ago, we didn't have the range of choices we do today - makes me sound older than I really am lol!    I cut a rectangle into the centre of a  piece of cardstock and then cut a smaller rectangle so that I could emboss to get an effect similar to the two cards below.  Here I have used my Spellbinders to emboss which does indeed make the project that much quicker and simpler, but you can achieve it in other ways.  The cute little rhinestones were sent to me by a stamping friend, and I have some other things to share over the next couple of posts.  The rhinestones are from Kaiser Craft and would you believe I have never used self adhesive ones before?!  But they just finished off this very simple card.  The flower is from Mums Flowers set.

The cardstock is textured Vixen White, and I just love it because it adds a touch of luxury or class if you like IRL to these cards.

When colouring you don't have to stick to just the one colour either.  You can add stripes and dots like I have to the presents from Helens Party, and with these colours it can easily be for a boy.

So as much as we love to have everything at once, using a few simple techniques we can still create.
