Over the weekend I started two cards and didn't finish either until this morning. Both of them were made using the TECC sketch challenge, and both are very different.
The first uses a stamp set from Stampin' Up! - Sassy Stems and was very quick. I really have no reason for not finishing it yesterday.
The image was stamped using Palette Noir Black on Smooth White and coloured with Copics. Matted on to SU! Sage and then on to some pretty DSP from my stash. The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink, and matched the paper beautifully!
This card uses a Penny Black stamp I have had for many years. The image was stamped using Palette Burnt Umber on to watercolour paper and then coloured using the same method I used in this tutorial.
I adhered it to BBP Java, which is a really dark chocolate brown, and then cut freehand around the image. The DSP here is from a SU! pack. The sentiment was stamped on to cream cotton twill using Burnt umber once again and affixed with double sided tape. I stamped the image twice and coloured a couple of extra flowers so that I could 'pop' them with dimensional foam. The very top flower is popped - a little hard to tell in the photo - and of course the one sitting over the ribbon. Because the image is so detailed it looked a little lop sided so I added some brown metallic brads and pierced the paper down the right side and across the top to finish.
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, and for those that desperately need rain that some fell your way - we had 25mm!
Enjoy your day in whatever you are doing.
