Designer Paper Delights

When I first saw the new Prints Designer Series Paper I wasn't going to rush in and buy it.  Then a few days ago Stampin' Up! put up its new promotion runnning through 1st May to the end of the month, so I thought I would have a look.  Well I'm in love - with paper that is - which is nothing new for me as I simply love to collect it, and now I have more to add.

Tempting Flowers

I took photos of different projects last Monday, praising myself for being so organised, and here I find it's Friday and I haven't posted a single thing in between!

So I will start with another Mother's Day card.

Do you get the feeling that I am leaning towards square cards lately?  Anyway, this one is made using the new hostess set In the Spotlight, and making most of the matching punch for the flowers.  The words are from Occasional Greetings, another new one, and the colours are Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Orchid Opulence and Gable Green.

River Swirls

I love the new In-colors!  The two main colours in this card are ones I have been most excited about - River Rock and Groovy Guava.

This card was so quick and easy, made possible by Stampin' Up!'s new scallop punch and Hostess set In the Spotlight.

Stamp Sets : In the Spotlight, Baroque Motifs, Baroque Border wheel, Occasional Greetings.

Cardstock : Whisper White, Groovy Guava, River Rock.

Ink : Groovy Guava, River Rock.

Accessories : sponge daubers, Scallop punch, dimensionals.

Mother's Pearl

With the very special day - Mother's Day - just around the corner, I thought I would make my first card using my new stamps and cardstock.

Here I have used three of the new in-colors from Stampin' Up! ®, as well as a 'pearl' from the Pretties Kit.  For those of you who haven't seen the new catalogue this kit contains flowers, beads, pearls, hat pins and brads.  All of which you can mix and match.  The flowers are white but can be easily coloured to match your project.

I have also used two of the new punches available, the 5-Petal Flower and Photo Corners.

Stamp Sets : In the Spotlight (hostess set), Occasional Greetings.

Cardstock : Soft Sky, Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi, all in the new textured cardstock, and Whisper White.

Ink : Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate.

Accessories : punches, dimensionals, Pretties Kit.

I don't have any of the new In-color ribbons which are on my next wish list order, so I have used the cardstock cut at different measurements.

Watercolour Daisies

I now have my order - yeah!! - and I have started playing, but not finished as yet, and I had this card from Monday to post, so I thought I would slip it in now.  I used the same technique as the Seaside Sketches to watercolour.

Stamp Sets : Sassy Stems, Taggers Dozen.

Cardstock : Very Vanilla, Apricot Appeal, Basic Black, Watercolour.

Ink : Black Staz-on®.

Accessories : brads, aquapainter, dimensionals, grosgrain ribbon, markers, DS paper.

Aged Tiles

I subscribe to a newsletter called 'Technique Junkies', and it is mailed to me monthly with great new ideas.  This month they featured the technique Aged Tiles, and I thought I would give it a go.

Stamp Sets : Lovely as a Tree, Aida Cloth BG, Warmest Regards.

Cardstock : Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Creamy Caramel.

Ink : Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa.

Accessories : sponge daubers, brads, corner punch, brayer.

I just slipped away for a few minutes to post this, so I had better get back to cooking tea!

New dimension

I have been working on a project for about three months now, and thought I would share with you what I have been doing.  I have opened an online store to sell my finished cards. 

It has been a huge learning process for me, as I have limited computer skills, but it has been very enjoyable - most of the time.

So please take a look and let me know what you think.  There are still ideas I want to add to it as I go, and of course I have something like 300 cards that could go on as well, maybe another day for those!

Lazy Days...

I know, this set from Stampin' Up! has been discontinued, but they still haven't sent my order with new stamps so I decided to use the old ones until they do.  Well thats part of the reason.  I was inspired to do some watercolouring now that the boys are back at school this morning!! and this is the result.  I haven't decided on words yet, or if any, so here it is.

Stamp Set : Seaside Sketches, Rough Texture SA jumbo wheel.

Cardstock : Not quite Navy, Whisper White, Mellow Moss.

Ink : Not quite Navy, Black Staz-on.

Accessories : Stampin' Up! markers, Aquapainter, dimensionals.

I had not ever thought to use my markers and aquapainter together until I was reading one of my favourite blogs.  Truelly inspirational.

I had a great time and now need to buy more stamps sets to colour!
