Simple Sketches

I have broken away from the mini and Sale-a-bration today, to show you one of my new purchases - Simple Sketches.

I have looked at this one for a long time now, so thought it would make a good birthday present to myself ( we can spoil ourselves every now and then, can't we?)

Anyway I am hoping this comes across as very masculine.  These are colours I love together.

Stamp Sets : Simple Sketches, Aida Cloth BG.

Cardstock : Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Basic Black.

Ink : Sahara Sand, Basic Black.

Accessories : grosgrain riboon, Hodge Podge, sponge daubers.

February Workshop

I have been a little indecisive as to what cards to choose for Februarys workshop, but have decided to use all of the Sale-a-bration sets while we can! You may also notice from the photos two new background stamps have been added to my collection, so they just had to used as well...

There will also be a fourth surprise project.

Today I decided I would stay away from the mini and sale-a-bration stamp sets and have gone for an invitation I did last week. 

I have gone bright and used Green Galore and Pink Passion.

The stamp set is Eat Cake.

Something for sale

I have some wire stands for sale.  These stands have 10 shelves and accomodate 12x12 paper and cardstock.  They can be clicked in to each other to make an upright storage, as shown in the photo.

I have four of these at $30.00ea and because of their size can only sell them locally.

Birthday Presents

I love bright simple cards, and apart from the cutting out, this card is very quick and easy.

I chose Lovely Lilac for this card simply because it has been such a long time since I have used it.

The Bud Basics set is one I just love, and just suited these colours so well.

Taking your ordinary brads and transforming them in to something that glitters is very simple, and easy to do.

Well Worn Words..

I have had this background stamp for a while now, and every time I use it I realise why I just 'had' to have it - much like most of my stamp sets.

I used my new Nestabilities die to emboss the rectangle - you can view these here.  We all need a new toy to start the New Year!?  Then simply added the Stem Silhouettes to the centre.

Cardstock : Chocolate Chip, Whisper White.

Ink : Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip.

Accessories : brayer, gingham ribbon, oval punch, word window punch.

Light to the rescue..

Well my Christmas present finally arrived this week - an Ott-lite - and I am very happy.

I have been waiting for this for what seems like ages, because I have been hopeful that this will fix my photos just a little.

This may not be the best example, but I am trying to fit this in this morning before I head off to a workshop - which I really should be getting ready for!

I have taken lots of photos which I will share soon.

Stem Silhouettes

Stem Silouettes is a very elegant stamp set and can be used for such a lot of occasions.

In this very simple card I have stamped the image in black and then added some colour.

For the reverse scalloped edge I used the 1/2" circle punch.

Cardstock : Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Rose Red.

Ink : Basic Black, Rose Red, Certainly Celery.

Accessories : brads, Word Window punch, 1/2" circle.

Regal Rose Happiness

Regal Rose is one of my favourite colours, and great to use again after many Christmas card making weeks.

Using both the new Designer Series paper 'Loves Me' and a set from the Sale-a-bration 'Friendship Blooms', I put together this card.

Ink : Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal.

January Workshop

These are the three cards we will be doing in the January workshops, along with a Valentines gift box to put those little goodies for that someone special.

We will be using Carte Postale, Stem Silhouettes and Bud Basics, all from the Summer mini catalogue.

I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

We have had many visitors, some leaving today and another arriving tomorrow so I shall try to sqease in some stamping tonight, as I have done very little for over a week!

I am looking forward to using some new stamp sets and Designer Series paper that arrived just before Christmas - what fun.
