- These are my Mini Plum Puddings that I have made every year for the past 15 years. Same recipe, same amount (usually about 90). Along with these I do mince pies, almond bread (that is dipped in the left over chocolate of the puddings), cherry ripe slice and shortbread. You just can't go wrong with Christmas baking. On to plates and wrapped with celophane to go visiting with.
I have made a number of these to make a gift card look like a mini present.
I can't remember the blog that I first saw them on, but I shall have to find it again and thank her, because the pattern has come in handy many times!
I will do my best to explain how it comes together, but I am hoping the photos will help.
You begin with a piece of double sided Designer Series paper that is 8" x 8". I was going to convert the design to metric, but the measurements are much easier in inches.
Begin by scoring
at 1.5", 4", and 6.5". Turn paper and score at 3" and 6.5".

Fold in 
each corner at right angles just shy of the score lines.

Fold along 1.5" score line to the back.
With both 1.5" borders folded in, fold down the top 1.5" score line.
Fold the bottom up and tuck into the folded right angle corners.
If you fine that it is a little thick across the top you can open it up and snip out the top section and then refold.
It doesn't have to be a gift card. It can house little notes and promises of massages, doing the dishes, or the ironing or cooking. Or maybe they are my little wishes?!

Stamp set : Time Well Spent.
Cardstock : Pink Passion, Basic Black, Gable Green, Whisper White.
Ink pads : Pink Passion, Gable Green, Basic Black.
Accessories : Cutter Kit, dimensionals, Bold Bright markers.
You can't tell from this picture, but the main flower, the small centre flower, and right hand leaf are on dimensionals. I was in a bit of hurry this particular day, as everyone is this time of year, and only took the one shot!
Take an A4 sheet of cardstock and cut in half. Working across the longest side, score at 7cm, 10cm, 17cm and 20cm which leaves a 1cm gap at the end.
Turn cardstock and score at 2.5cm, 4cm and 13cm.

Cut to bottom fold, snipping out the section of the 1cm corner. Snip down to the second score line, trimming the first 2.5cm x 3cm tops and once again trimming out the 1cm corner.

Using a bonefolder fold and crease along score lines. Punch holes for the handles in the top using the Word Widow punch.

Secure double sided tape on right side of 1cm panel and on the reverse side of long bottom flap.
Peel backing off double sided tape from the 1cm side panel and join box. Working from the bottom fold panels in leaving the one with tape till last, peeling off backing and adhering to seal bottom.
Use a glue dot at top to secure box closed with goodies inside. Tie some ribbon and decorate as desired. Check out the finished box on the post below.

I love what you can do with a piece of cardstock. Cards, tags, decorations, books, albums, boxes, and the list goes on.
The 2, 5, 7, 10 box has been a favourite of mine this Christmas, and when I saw another take on it on a blog by Paula Goff, I new I had to have a go.
With things finishing for up Christmas I used the box template - adjusted to metric for us - for my sons Kinder break- up gift to his teachers, and I then halved it to make very cute smaller boxes to go on the table at a lunch I went to today.
These first ones are the larger ones I filled with choccies using the medium sized cellophane bags from Stampin' Up!, and they worked a treat and fitted in perfectly.
The group of sixes boxes are the smaller ones, although it's a bit hard to tell in the photo, and were made using an A5 piece of Cool Caribbean cardstock.
I am one for never throwing any left over cardstock or mistakes out, because you just never know when it will come in handy. In the close up shot you can see Cool Caribbean stamped with Paisley BG that I had put away, not thrown away when it wasn't need for another project!
Over the next week if you are interested, I hope to take some shots with instructions to make these boxes.

The plums in the Soft Subtle range are beautiful. Soft and delicate they are perfect for that special card.
The silver brad in the centre of the flower has been dipped in Dazzling Diamonds - another trick I picked up at Regionals - and adds that little bit of sparkle! Come to a workshop in January and I will share this little trick with you!
